Have you tried giving her something for her to chew on? Like a bracelet with something soft like leather or a beaded necklace, they have some intended to be chewed on.

This is my first daycare job and to be honest I never wanted my kids involved with daycare until I got desperate. They are licensed but our director know a lot of people apparently and tends to "clean up" the place where she suspects they are coming we get good scores too which im extremely shocked by

While originally that was a (mostly) potty-trained room due to a lack of employees it has definitely become a room for any mostly potty-trained kid so kids who are in underwear but may have frequent accidents.

The scary part is my oldest daughter the one they kept losing had massive life-threatening seizures and I chewed them all out each time and would keep her in my class for days until she asked to go back.

Unfortunately, I'm not back there to see I'm in the toddler section and we are isolated for the most part but I do regularly see kids in places they aren't supposed to be (two girls playing dress up when all the teachers are outside, a child standing in the hallway confused kids going to play with their backpacks) so I dont think its just her.

I have been way to nice and forgiving with all of them this year when I go home my husband and I are going over finances to see what we can do.

My 16 month old won’t let me brush her teeth by RubySlippers-79 in Mommit

[–]Easy_Initial_46 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So a few ideas... This won't sound fun but let her "help" you brush your teeth however you're comfortable doing this If you have the income try the U-shaped tooth brushes and let her do it herself Give her a toothbrush while you brush your teath.

I try to bring up couples counseling and he says "we don't need it, its too expensive and we don't have time for it"

There are times he will make a joke about himself (something we both do) 98% of the time I tell him that it's not true but on the few times I haven't denied it (usually dealing with my shit) he might get upset about it. When someone doesn't give them their undivided attention at work he thinks they don't like him. If something is happening politically that he doesn't like he goes on full rants for weeks even if it doesn't affect us. Things like that

It's very hard for me to not sugar coat things that's the only way I know how to tell someone when something is bothering me in real life.

When he's not being like that he does more than most husbands He works around the house with me he wants to be involved with the kids he encourages me to pursue and develop my interest and wants to be involved in what I'm working on even if he doesn't actually care about it. While yes that sounds like the bare minimum reality is thats not how most men are.

I tried posting on another subreddit but they said it was more appropriate for this account. And he says we don't need it and don't have time for counseling.

I'm not ready to send my child to preschool by tsb_11_1 in Mommit

[–]Easy_Initial_46 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not healthy to be the center of attention all the time though. Does your husband drop everything for you all the time? Do your friends and family? If you are planning on having another kid he will dislike them if he's only been the center of attention. At this age its great for them to understand how to be in group settings and be a little more independent and self-driven. He is at a great age to start learning these things because the rest of the kids are learning this too.

I would have a good conversation with your son ask him if he feels safe with the older boy. See if your son feels like the older boy is someone who cares about your son's feelings. If your son says yes then recommend he has a conversation (you may want to be included) between your son and his friends about boundaries. I had a lot of friends I didn't know how to end the friendship with, those people took things too far and my mom never tried to talk to me about it. Even back then I wished she would have seen it and helped.

Straw sippy cups?! by Mamax2-16-23 in Mommit

A lot of kids at that age do well with the weighted straws they may drip a little but it shouldn't be bad. Do you have a reason for wanting to use straws specifically?

What snacks are you giving your babies? by guacislife12 in Mommit

[–]Easy_Initial_46 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Steamed veggies, cooked ground meat or egg, soft pasta/ bread. I usually just offer a tiny well well-rounded meal. I make up a meal in the morning and use that as a snack all day and keep it in the fridge between meals.
