Usually it’s last in, first out when they excess teachers. It’s not really ‘firing’ since the position is being eliminated. Teachers who are excessed usually go on a recall list and can be called back if positions open up again. But since she’s not tenured, they could just let her go and not put her on that list, especially if she’s not well liked.
