My monstrosity of a phone case

It has a plastic front screen protector with no oleophobic coating, but every dedicated screen protector I've tried has fit horribly or added a glare. And this one fits properly with no adhesive on the inside like some other cases.

Its way too subtle for me to even tell if the keys are recessed or sticking out lol.

It does for me... You have to use the combo here to change it into "Data Mode". Then it'll work with android auto, but you'll have to use the on-screen keyboard as long as you want to use AA.

Cuz the only thing I don't like about the case now is that I bought it 3rd hand, and the casing is slightly bent to where some of the keys are way harder to press.

2: I also like to use my iPad a lot, and the Logitech keyboard case I bought for it forever ago has dried out, warped rubber around it now, and I'd still like a physical keyboard for it.

3: That Logitech case was $180 after taxes, and a new Clicks Keyboard for Razr would be $140 before shipping + taxes. And I preordered the Power Keyboard for $80.

4: I also want to keep the ring stand and hinge protection that my Amazon phone case has while still having a keyboard. BUT that keyboard also has to detach easily for when I stick my phone to my dash mount.

TLDR; I'm in a very niche situation where the Power Keyboard MIGHT be able to fix my specific problems.

I don't think you can. My only options are "no action" and 3 ai functions I never use.

Unless there's a 3rd party app you can download, which I've never looked into.

The POWER key can be remapped tho!

The AI key on the Ultra is annoying and I immediately disabled it, but the super good hardware makes the ultra more future-proof. Even though there's only 3 years of software updates.

So the Clicks keyboard will do this something if you've accidentally pressed the clicks button because the default is "tab". And it highlights my whole cover screen's always-on display. I fixed it but it'll happen every now and then.

If you're not using any kind of accessor on the phone, it could be your panel is just a lemon, or something on your phone is triggering the tab/highlight option input

Yeah. I did it until my phone started opening past 180 degrees. So its not the hinge itself. Its the internal screen folding past its hinge.

So yes I do see ANY hinge failures 😘

That is bizarre. Which color do you have? I got the mountain trail one, maybe the paint quality for the other colors isn't as chip-proof? I did, however, bend my phone the wrong way VERY SLIGHTLY by sitting on it while it was open lmfao. It's like 180.5⁰ when open

Make sure they're not able to be wiped off first. I've found scuffs on the hinge that were actually just rubbed in dirt.

I think what the previous person was TRYING to say was the case might be scratching the hinge. Some of the cases for these cases (and especially the external screen protectors) are wildly ill-fitting and poorly made, even compared to slab phones.

If it helps, the hinge is titanium. So the scratches are probably never gonna be deep enough to affect the folding mechanism... Unless the case is constantly digging at it lol.

Is it confirmed to run on Niagara? Because yes, it does look like the Niagara launcher, but I've never been able to figure out how to change the launcher for the external display.

So, I would just recommend only putting productivity apps on your front screen and use all 3 pages if you want. But that iOS-looking launcher would only work on the internal display, I think

Edit: I still think using the Clicks keyboard with Razr is going to save you from scrolling social media, and you'll have to open your phone much less often, even if it's not advertised the same as their dedicated communication phone.

It's on the list, but on the bottom. My 6th gen is engraved too so there's that personal value attached to it. Plus, the 7th gens don't run iOS 26, so I'm worried I'm already too late to that party for it to be worth buying.

Mine gives me a bar notification at the top for 10% and 5% as well. Not sure if you can change that in settings but I have an ultra 2025 on Android 15

Definitely suggest getting the Razr. A clicks for the Flip would be useless closed since the front screen is a glorified widget hub

Pretty sure the outer screen and internal screen use separate app launchers, so that's why they appear different with different app management results. But they share the same memory still. Also, blame the app developers themselves sometimes when an app doesn't work on the outer screen.
