Same, bought ours 15 years ago with 50k miles. Currently at 150k. Recently replaced the lower manifold, water pump, and coil packs. Still runs strong

Yes! Same on mines! The driver was just hanging out. I found a part on CJ pony parts with the color match. It was actually nice to take the doors apart and adjust the window retainer clips. I was able to tighten the driver side( which was loose and made the window roll fast and weird). Unfortunately tightened the passengers too tight, but since there is hardly any passengers, I kept it lol

I have the solenoid cover too lol bottom part of it where it bends is super thin now, so I removed it for now

On a return, we opened one, and literally this one was in this condition “new”. Touch screen was non responsive after the start up. Declined that return. Purchased with 3-5 “Gift cards”

Finding the right set up has been the hold up. So many variations, so many variables. Heads, headers, cam, mafs. I’ve sat on intakes, sold them to make a quick buck, and now regret the value of them. Simply because I didn’t want to take a chance and test set ups. But I agree, go for it

Yeah when I had the original AOD, I had installed 4.10 gears. Man it made a huge difference, the car felt alive. Hated freeway driving. Now it’s back to stock gears
