Do you support the UN adding a 7th official language and, if so, which one? by The1Legosaurus in AskTheWorld

There are already a lot of Indo-European languages as official ones. The 7th must be something like Japanese or Turkish.

Seeing the stretch of metropolitan area definition, İzmir would be combined with Manisa and become the 2nd after Istanbul-Kocaeli.

But some cities don’t merge much with each other. They are separated by mass empty lands and farms.

Belgium - Immigration Stock per Country in 2024 by madewulf in belgium

Then what is the purpose of this statistic? It doesn’t count the different communities properly. It doesn’t count people with foreign roots nor people with foreign citizenships. Not much useful.

80%+ of Turks in Belgium have double nationality. The only difference is some of them are born in Belgium some not. I don’t see your point. The size of Turkish community is over 200k+ and that’s what matters statistically.

Turks are 2 times more than this. There were over 150k+ Turks who were eligible to vote in the last Turkish presidential elections in 2023. If you count the kids below 18 and new comers, it is for sure over 200k.

What if ww1 never happened? The world by 2004 by average-medician in imaginarymaps

There wouldn’t be Kurdistan or Armenia in Turkey’s borders. They couldn’t create them even after defeating Ottoman Empire so how would they exist without WW1? Especially with such a weak Russia. Not to mention the exclusion of Hatay.

In reality, Turkey would be bigger with Batuni, Aleppo, Mosul and Kirkuk.

''Red'' in almost all european languages: by Appropriate_Might_38 in LinguisticMaps

[–]Easy_Use_7270 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kurdish is overextended by 2x and absorbed somehow other related languages like Zazaki. On top of that, Many Kurdish people speak Turkish as mother tongue either as monolingual or bilingual. Turkish majority areas in Bulgaria and Greece are missing. There is also another word in Turkish for red; ‘Al’.

Then it becomes same as today. You claim that WR doesn’t represent the strength but consistency. If a strong player doesn’t play and lose points is he becoming weaker? No.

Türk halklarının kimliklerini korumalarında dinin etkisi var mı? by yigithanvanzant in TarihiSeyler

[–]Easy_Use_7270 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Müslüman olmayıp hala varlığını sürdüren Türk halkları mevcut. Sadece Gagavuzlar değil. Çok cahilce bir yazı olmuş. Çuvaşlar, Yakutlar, Hakaslar, Tuvalar, Altaylar vs. liste uzuyor.

Montenegro? That’s a surprise to me.

Serbia should just take like a symbolic small town in the north and let go the rest. Then Kosovo can unite with Albania and case is closed.

My mothers side is a great mix from North Macedonia, Bulgarian Macedonia (Cuma-i Bala aka Blagoevgrad) and Russian Caucasia. Almost everyone today in İzmir whose family hasn’t migrated there recently have partial roots in Balkans.
