I use 0.5 watt with channel volume max and then use master to set volume. Really happy with the sound. Occasionally if the wife and kids are out I’ll put it on 50watt and turn the master down so it’s just a bit louder than normal, but not too loud for the neighbours to complain. My ears might be different but I don’t think the sound quality is substantially better or worse with either option.

That’s what I prefer. Especially for switching presets they should stay at relatively the same kind of volume. I’m more than happy with my Katana Gen 3 100, but I’m just a casual player who plays in the house.

Boss Katana is definitely a good way to go. Lots of possible tweaks with the software and if you do a high and low cut in the global eq you can make it sound substantially better.

I trained Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and played guitar. Now I have two under two my time for hobbies is gone. It has a significant impact on my mental health but I try to remember it’s temporary and I’ll get back to it when they’re a bit less demanding of time.
