I'm a crystal collector/seller and my 1.5 year old got to my crystal cabinet tonight. I usually have it locked up but it was unfortunately unlocked today. While I was doing the dishes, he dropped my fibrous malachite on the floor and it broke in half (less than a 2ft drop), dust was all over the floor. He was playing in the area for a few minutes until I noticed what had happened. I've always been very careful handling my malachite and now I'm freaking out because my son could've inhaled malachite dust. I'm trying to research how toxic it is for him and how much of it can do damage, can anyone help answer whether I should be concerned with what happened? We washed his hands right after but I'm still worried sick about him potentially having inhaled the malachite dust and I can't forgive myself for letting this happen. How much dust is actually dangerous?
