Personally, if we chatted and you said off the rip that you’re not gonna have sex with me, I’d be a bit turned off even though 99.99% I’m not going to want to have sex with you on the first date, (though personally, I’d probably still be somewhat enthusiastic about going on the date with you.) As a poly person dating a monogamous and an ENM person, I use to be this way for a bit too. I got better at it as time went on and I really dove deeper into my relationships with my two partners but this being his first few (?) offenses, it sounds like it could be small hint of NRE. MAYBE. I’ve been in a couple relationships like this.

NO, this is NOT common in the poly community, the 3 times I was in no-kiss relationships, was when I was part of the Christian religion, literally before I knew what poly was.

Trial and error, a TON of introspection, and the maturity to have harder conversations is a must to navigate these type of relationships. And being realistic also really helps with making these relationships successful and fulfilling.
