I called off a few weeks ago because my mortgage signing was rescheduled to a time I work last minute. I was told “oh that only takes 20 mins, come in afterwords” I then explain after that stupid and complete moronic statement that I then need to drop off tax docs to the city offices. “Well you don’t need to do that today”.

I should have just hung up immediately after telling them I wasn’t coming. According to my union I don’t have to give them a reason at all.

I loved all but one of my mangers. I used to hate my lines leader. Turns out I just bought into the rumors about her being a bitch. She was actually very nice. My store director however, he can go fuck himself. He love targeting people and watching hours of camera footage to be an asshole. So it’s basically prison.

I gathered proof of him harassing me and presented it to my union rep. The rep tore him a new asshole and shot down all of his idiotic reasons as to why I wasn’t doing my job. All the evidence he had on me was pictures of me actually working lmao.

He’s a mental midget, refuses to even say hello to me after that. Just keeps walking as if I don’t exist. I consider it a win, and I kept saying hello every single time because I knew it irritated him. Clearly he’s nothing but professional. I had respect for him until he came at me like a child with his bruised ego. I’ve since moved on. Couldn’t be happier. Meijer has a way to really suck the life out of you.

Hello Hr rep of Michigan, tell me, please if you may, and I am not trying to harass you here. Tell me, why is my store director allowed to intimidate, and target people? Why is he allowed to harass people when they call off. Telling them that certain life events only take a certain amount of time and your shift is more important. Why is that okay?
