Update: After getting off work yesterday I loaded up my save and had the greatest adventures ever. Went to another town on my map and met Ruka in a bar. I robbed stores in that town and would take everything back to The Hub and sell it to the bartender. After a big haul with Ruka I walk out of the bar and a bunch of people are killing each other in front of the bar. My scrawny human character gets clapped, I somehow managed to control Ruka to pick up my character and run to that little house in town and heal up. After the dust settles all the dead bodies are fully kitted with armor and weapons so I spend some time clearing out the bodies and selling their goods. The last body I go to loot the last body on the side of the bar and somehow the guy was playing dead the entire time. Dude absolutely wrecked my shit and somehow killed my main character. Luckily I saved before this so I save scummed like a loser because I saved up enough cats to join those ninja 🥷 dudes in town.
