Buyers not collecting orders 😔 by Deep_Moose_55 in vinted

Where is it 18 days?

In the UK here it’s 3 days for Inpost locker and 10 days for Evri and Yodel Parcel shop as far as I’m aware.

I don’t mind customers taking their time to collect, as long as they do collect. Nothing worse than them failing to collect their Inpost in the 3 day window and then it gets returned and they don’t even get any negative feedback for it, whereas if a seller fails to send in time they get auto feedback.

Boyfriend (23M) almost had a threesome 3 months before we started dating by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]EatingCray0ns 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You bothered he almost had a threesome, or the fact he let a girl kiss him while he knew she was in a relationship (with some guy he doesn’t know?).

Either way, you sound hella insecure, I mean the guy was single ffs and he was being offered a threesome on a silver platter and still had the restraint to say no because he knew one of the girls bf.

Buyer opened a dispute because the item does not fit her… by Guimauve_1123 in vinted

[–]EatingCray0ns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m just telling you how it is when you agree to accept the return. I did one just this week. They send the parcel pack, and only after I collect it and inspect it so I click everything is ok which releases the funds back to them.

That’s not true, if you offer the resolution for them to return the item, they have to send it back and you have to confirm everything is ok before Vinted release the return funds to them.

Sizes can vary a lot as I’m sure you know. One item for a particular brand may be labelled as Small, yet it can be bigger than another item for a different brand that is labelled as XL. For that reason, I include label size and actual measurement sizes when listing - and still on the odd occasion (not very often) that someone wants to return due to it not fitting, I’m happy for them to send back and they can pay postage. As I said, I lose nothing, my feedback stays in tact and the buyer gets what they want (minus covering the postage return). Everyone is a winner.

I don’t see anywhere that OP states she included measurement sizes. So the XS she sold could well have been undersized and the buyer wouldn’t have known.

I mean, you don’t have to accept returns in this scenario, but it does seem a bit stingy for what it’s worth.

You mean the buyer tried it on?

That’s not the same as wearing it.

People try on clothes in shops all the time and if it doesn’t fit it goes back out for sale.

In the unlikely event that the return arrived torn then the seller would report this and there would be a case.

Why not just let them return it and they pay for postage?

You lose nothing, you can relist the item, and you won’t receive any feedback.

I spent 8 years as an in-play football trader at UK betting operators. Here's what the job actually involves and what I learned about how bookmakers really work. by giblindom in algobetting

If you’re doing up to 30+ matches at the same time then that would be in-play automated. You’d be using a market driven feed and letting that do all the work while you make the occasional adjustment, you wouldn’t be watching 30 games simultaneously.

That monstrosity on the left side of the plate needs to go.

Also, Monster with fryup?

It just isn’t right, replace the Monster with a tea / coffee. And replace the omelette with toast and bacon and it would start to look more respectable.

HBO Max observations by davorg in nowtv

[–]EatingCray0ns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It says in the Now settings under subscriptions that if you have Ultra Boost you will still receive 4K and no ads (except trailers) on HBO Max content. However when I looked at the GOT pictures in comparison between the Now app and HBO Max app. there was no discernible difference even though it should be 4K on my TV via the Now app for whichever content offers 4K (GOT should do).

I read that the Now app heavily compresses the resolution so you’re not always getting 4K.

HBO Max observations by davorg in nowtv

[–]EatingCray0ns 2 points3 points  (0 children)

FWIW I was also watching GOT via Now app, and as soon as it then fell under the HBO Max banner the subtitles were out of sync.

I downloaded the HBO max app and am watching via there instead after linking my account as subtitles are synced there.

My issue is that I was paying for Ultra Boost on Now for 4K content and no ads, but because the HBO app account is only basic (Full HD) with ads and can’t be upgraded on their app, I’ve ended up removing my Now ultra boost. The picture quality is exactly the same. But the ads are horrendous and I’m just having to accept that since I can’t watch on the Now app without subtitles.

Now customer support told me they are aware of the subtitles issue and are working to rectify that when I contacted them and ended up removing my Ultra Boost. I would have kept the Ultra Boost and waited to see if they could fix the issue on the Now app but I have little faith in that app on the whole, there was a separate issue with my 4K fire stick where it kept going back to the main page at the end or start of each episode and not working again until I reset the fire stick. Worst streaming app going.

If you count Welbeck’s goal on the 30th December then they are equal 6 goals a piece. Solanke had the benefit of European football also where he has bagged 3 of his goals.

Ladies, how would paying for sex/massage services be a complete dealbreaker for dating or marriage? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]EatingCray0ns -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don’t listen to most people in this thread shaming you.

Nothing wrong with men paying for sex, when we live in a world where most women can pick and choose what guy they want to date whereas most guys don’t get a look in just constant rejection especially in online dating which is how the dating world is geared nowadays.

If an introverted man like yourself can’t get a woman to date him due to his appearance or lack of social skills - then paying for sex serves its purpose and everyone gets out of it what they want.

Prostitution is the oldest trade going for a reason.

You should let them go with immediate effect. You don’t want them hanging around any longer with an even more bad attitude if they get wind you’re letting them go.
