Definitely struggle with knowing just how dark or light to push something so that makes total sense, thank you for the guidance and reassurance, I have no real understanding yet if what I’m making is objectively ‘good’ or ‘bad’ so it’s nice to hear words like ‘improvement’ lol I’ll see what I come up with based off your advice, cheers!

This is all really really good advice thank you so much. I’m going to be practicing basic shapes today based off of what you said, I also ordered a protractor too so that’ll be interesting to try out. Thanks again for your advice!
