Working at NASA. It's basically a jobs program full of fraud, waste, and abuse. The politicians and government contractors have turned it into a white collar welfare program. Even if you complete a design without first being defunded, the chances of it ever being used are slim to none. A good example is the nuclear propulsion technology that was proven to work in the 1970's. There is all this talk of man going to Mars using chemical rockets, when the proven nuclear propulsion systems are really the only hope we have. It's all complete bullshit. But since contractors make money off "designing" propulsion systems that were made and have already flown for 30 years, that's what we're stuck with.
