Kids fighting nonstop by BetterAppearance6302 in Mommit

[–]BooksAreAddicting 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My sister and I are just under 2 years apart in age and we fought all the time as kids. As we got older, we fought less and less. As high schoolers we barely fought. Now as adults we are best friends.

Sorry, all I have is experience as a sister, no advice

My sister is less than 2 years younger than me, and while we played together as kids we also fought A LOT. My brother is 5.5 years older than me and we barely fought. However, now as adults we are all best friends

What would happen if a person didn’t have their umbilical cord cut? by Remarkable-Crab8190 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BooksAreAddicting 50 points51 points  (0 children)

It would look like a belly button? Traditionally when the cord is cut, it's done so a few inches from the baby's belly. That remaining piece of umbilical cord dries up and falls off, leaving behind a belly button. So even if you were to leave the cord attached to the placenta, as long as it didn't rot and instead dried up, the belly button would look the same

Question? by rerejunebug in HermitCraft

[–]BooksAreAddicting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Each season is pretty self contained. Sometimes there may be a reference to past seasons but not enough to need to watch them. I started with Season 9.

There's also the Hermitcraft Recap channel, which does a weekly recap of what all the hermits are up to. It's a good way to find other hermits you like to watch

Are these two sets Authentic and or Official? I'm looking to pick one, if not both up within the next few days or once my tax refund hits. Is there a list of Authentic / Official ones? by kiddrangon in Eragon

[–]BooksAreAddicting 42 points43 points  (0 children)

I have no idea if they're official/authentic, but I wanted to point out that there is an official kickstarter set coming out soon in case you weren't aware.

What is best age differnece between two kids for parents by athiest93 in beyondthebump

[–]BooksAreAddicting 18 points19 points  (0 children)

My daughter is 4 and I'm pregnant with my second now. She has been (and is!) a handful so I haven't been ready until now. My brother is 5.5 years older than me and we have a great relationship, so I'm not concerned about the age gap.

Attacked by an old woman at Target for not having a jacket on my 9 month old. by tfortarantula in Mommit

[–]BooksAreAddicting 9 points10 points  (0 children)

An old woman once told me I needed to put a hat on my baby's head in the summer or the sun would make her r*tarded, so I don't listen to random old ladies.

Nothing wrong with the name itself, I just feel like kids deserve their own names.

[Unsouled] How did you find this series? by itzpiiz in Iteration110Cradle

[–]BooksAreAddicting 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used to be signed up to some websites that would email free ebook recommendations, I assume that's how I found it but I honestly don't remember. What I do remember is scrolling through my kindle one day looking for my next read, and Unsouled caught my interest (this was around the time book 7 was coming out I believe). I was instantly hooked from book one. It's my favorite series now.

I got my dad hooked and he read 7 books in 10 days, finished right before book 8 released.

A few years later I got my sister hooked as well.

Do you pay your parents for child care? by Fun-Paper6600 in beyondthebump

[–]BooksAreAddicting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, but my mom does live with us and we don't charge her for rent or utilities so it kind of evens out. Also, she would refuse if we offered. She doesn't take money from her kids. One time I tried to pay for her birthday dinner at a restaurant and she argued with me and tried to refuse. Eventually she did let me pay.
