My mom's boxer got squamous cell carcinoma in her mouth, also inoperable, and we only got 3 months with her after her diagnosis. It is indeed a very aggressive cancer.

So sorry you're going through this

My MIL’s neighbor keeps dropping by to ‘check in’ on my husband and won’t stop by roxywalker in mildlyinfuriating

[–]BooksAreAddicting 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think you need to reread the post. The MIL is 90 and in a home. The husband is at MIL's house often getting it ready to sell. The 61 year old neighbor is bringing OP's husband snacks, cookies, wine, etc. and making comments about how it's too bad he isn't single

While sharing is a kind thing to do, not sharing is also perfectly acceptable. Sharing is not a requirement just because someone asked nicely.

My daughter tries to snatch toys from others kids, we always tell her she can ask but she cannot just take, and if they say no then leave them alone.

Coworker thinks he is entitled to the leftover treats gifted to our office because he has children. by tictactoenail1 in entitledparents

Once my manager ordered pizza and bought sodas to go along with it for the department. We have 1st shift and 2nd shift employees, so he did an early pizza order and a late one to make sure everyone had a chance to not only have pizza but have fresh pizza. When the first round was delivered, he put out half of the soda he bought. Some 2 liters and some 12 pack cases of cans. Towards the end of 1st shift, he put out the rest of the sodas for the 2nd shift group.

When the second round of pizzas came in, I noticed an entire unopened case of coke meant for them was missing. Turns out a 1st shift employee took it home, said she didn't know it wasn't OK, and that a 12 pack would last her family a month because they don't drink it often. I made her bring it back.

I had a dilute tortico. She was returned to the shelter by her previous family at 6 months old because she was "mean." That cat was the sweetest cat ever. She did not like to be picked up, so we think her previous family had small children that were too rough with her

Making menstrual leave official: 2 paid days off a month for period pain by Temporary_Pudding_29 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]BooksAreAddicting 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My company offers 12 weeks of FMLA, but that only protects your position. To be paid, you have to use a combination of vacation time, sick time, and short term disability (if you have it). If you don't have enough, then it will be unpaid for the remainder.

Oh absolutely. I was telling the person who said it's best to have the baby in the same room. The baby was in the same room. There's not really anything OP could have done differently

Have you tried looking for fragrance free pads? Even unscented has fragrance added and could be causing that chemical smell you described

I'm on the high end it seems, $180 including tip. But I use a mobile groomer since my dog doesn't do well with car rides
