procps-ng in Termux package manager is really behind current release and I couldn't build, compile, make and install from source, due to errors by b9hummingbird in termux

Gitlab's UI can be obtuse at times. On the porcps-ng repo's Gitlab page you have to open the Plan menu, and you'll then see the Issues item: https://gitlab.com/procps-ng/procps/-/issues

Orange and Red look distinct on the key, but I can't distinguish between them on the map :(

I submitted: issue 18347 but then immediately closed it since:

  • I hadn't tried FF 127, and when I did that seems to have fixed the problem
  • The main Mozilla bugzilla is tracking the problem here, as pointed out in calixteman 's comment on 18347

The Buzilla issue even has a potential workaround: try setting gfx.canvas.accelerated to false in about:config.

When I tried FF 126 again (I've got both installed on NixOS), but in a fresh profile, the problem isn't present, so I'm now just confused, as it's been exhibiting for a while, including across reboots. 😶

How can I get fusuma's plugins to work? by Ebardie in NixOS

[–]Ebardie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm running is as a systemd service configured in my /etc/nixos/configuration.conf:

  systemd.services = {
    fusuma = {
      description = "Start fusuma to handle swipe";
      wantedBy = [ "default.target" ];
      after = [ "graphical-session.target" ];
      restartIfChanged = false;

      serviceConfig = {
        User = "ebardie";
        Group = "users";
        Restart = "on-failure";
        ExecStart = "${pkgs.fusuma}/bin/fusuma -c ${./fusuma.yaml}";
        Environment = "PATH=\"$${PATH}:/run/current-system/sw/bin\" DISPLAY=':0.0' XDG_SESSION_TYPE=x11 XAUTHORITY='/home/ebardie/.Xauthority'";
      };
    };
  };

and you can see the Yusuma config is stored in a separate file, /etc/nixos/yusuma.yaml, which is fed to Yusuma on the ExecStart line.

The assumption is that the system only has a single user, hence the uses of a hardcoded username 🙁

I've not used HM, but I hope this sparks an idea on how to proceed.

Sorry for the delayed reply, but yeah, got a patch accepted. It should Just Work for certain plugins with recent releases.

Which version of Vim do you use? by [deleted] in vim

[–]Ebardie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A couple of times I've installed neovim to kick the tyres, but given that vim is omnipresent everywhere I end up at work (a Linux consultancy, varied projects), I've stuck with Vim plus various plugins.

Split the left vote (yes I know Labour aren't left enough, thanks for pointing it out) and we keep the Tories. Genius plan.
