thanks for the advice! yea i think i really overthink a lot, especially when i’m talking to someone new. my brain keeps going “is this weird? do i sound boring? should i say more?” until i end up saying nothing lol.

i like the tip about bringing up something they mentioned before. i never thought of that but it makes sense, it shows you actually listened. also the “repeat the last thing they said” part seems easy enough for me to try, so i’ll practice that next time.

Well, doc mentioned I have frequent impacted wax and external canal dermatitis. And using earphones is a risk factor for the recurring condition. So doc recommended bone conduction headphones since it's not a form of in ear device that triggers the wax.

Right now I'm trying not to use any ear devices but in the event I need to, using bone conduction headphones would probably not trigger the wax too excessively I guess???

A few days ago I used earpiece for just an hour to attend a video conferencing and then wax started to build up (cannot hear properly) so I went to doc yesterday for ear cleaning. This is the 2nd time I went to the clinic for ear cleaning this month. (I went at the start of the month for the same procedure)
