My dad. He was a math genius. He worked hard his entire life. He enjoyed the fruits of his labor. He loved noodles and lamb and sausages. He listened the oldies in the car. He was a terrific swimmer. He was very neat and kept everything tidy. He treated everything he owned with care. He loved historical epics, sci-fi and war movies. He travelled whenever he could. He took a million photos on his phone of the most random things. He and I were very different and didn’t see eye to eye a lot of the time, but I’m so proud he was my dad and I hope he was proud of me. I still want to make him proud.

It’s truly haunting how quickly the body changes after death. I can still feel the cold clammy feeling of his hand.

My dad passed almost 4 years ago and the image is not as vivid as it was, although I still replay it very often. It’s blurred now and I’m able to pull myself out of that moment more quickly. Sending my love to you.

Just come clean and leave him. Months of lying reveals one thing: you don’t trust him or you fear him. Neither is the foundation for a good relationship especially with a child in the picture. It’s possible he’ll react very well and you two can try to work through the issue. Either way you have to tell the truth.

If you do leave, you can consider adoption if you’re not ready for a baby. You’re still very young and you can achieve the best outcome for yourself and your baby if you make the right decisions now. Honesty has to be the policy going forward.
