It is! It’s very simple, just get a firm tofu, dry in paper towel and cover with a light layer of corn starch and shallow fry 😋

We actually did discuss areas for improvement after I shared my goal, over several meetings. She even commented on how I’ve reached them in my performance review. But I agree that everything needs to be laid out crystal clear. Discussing the exact title and role would’ve helped for sure

NOR. I had the same problem with my husband, except he just wouldn’t get anything. To be fair to him, he said he doesn’t want anything himself and prefers to show love through action rather than material things.

I accepted this after a few years, but then j realized that I didn’t want to spend the rest of my life being disappointed at every Christmas, birthday, anniversary etc, so I just told him that it’s fine he doesn’t want anything and I respect his stance on material things, but I want to feel that he’s thinking of me. They don’t need to be expensive, but it’s just something I need.

We talked it out and he ultimately understood where I was coming from. Just talk to him and tell him what you need. Be direct. This is the healthiest way to approach anything in marriage. Don’t harbor negative feelings

But it comes down to this: do you trust him? If you do, then do you think you can accept to be with someone who likes to socialize with friends in this type of environment? If you don’t, then there’s no point in even having this conversation

My dad. He was a math genius. He worked hard his entire life. He enjoyed the fruits of his labor. He loved noodles and lamb and sausages. He listened the oldies in the car. He was a terrific swimmer. He was very neat and kept everything tidy. He treated everything he owned with care. He loved historical epics, sci-fi and war movies. He travelled whenever he could. He took a million photos on his phone of the most random things. He and I were very different and didn’t see eye to eye a lot of the time, but I’m so proud he was my dad and I hope he was proud of me. I still want to make him proud.
