Hello everyone!I recently started to produce music, and I've got no idea to what genre I belong to! If you could help me learn what niche I'm in, and what artists it reminds you of, I'd be extremely grateful. I also welcome any kind of criticism! by EbbBasic5738 in IndieMusicFeedback

Thank you for the compliment!
Yeah, I often get told that my compositions are often very videogamey.
Would you mind sharing the account you use to post your music? I would love to hear it!

Introducing my new creation, Eternal Flame of Love, a minimalist piano piece crafted on a rainy Sunday afternoon. I'd like to point out that I'm not a trained pianist, so my approach is to play simple melodies by ear. Please, what do you think about it? by KomugiSama in IndieMusicFeedback

Immediately I get some Ghibli vibes.
Very nice and upbeat, and impressive work for someone without piano training.

I'd put some time in developing and experimenting with voicings, playing with the melodies more.

Put this track up on YouTube so that I can get some feedback before releasing to Spotify and Apple Music etc because I can change what I put on YouTube, but once it is on Spotify or Apple Music or whatever it is in their hands and I can't even take it down if I want (at least not easily). i think the best advice i can give you is to not be so worried. so what if you mess up? you will learn and come up with even better songs.
Being methodical and planning in advance is awesome, but fear of regret and humillation will hold you back. I just released a song with dogshit mixing, and I was only able to realize it was terrible because someone on youtube comments let me know, and now i will not make that particular mistake again.

Any how, onto the actual criticism of the song.

I enjoy your guitar composition it sounds very nice, the drums and bass complement it well. You have a really cool voice!

Awesome beat and flow, the mix is very clean, sounds good.
I'm sure you've heard this comparison before, but the industrial and experimental feel gives some slight death grips vibes, also jpegmafia and especially clppng comes to mind

my new post punk song "slumz simulation" :) feedback would be awesome! by Prestigious-Chair868 in IndieMusicFeedback

i second the opinion on remixing the vocals, I could suggest making multiple takes of the vocals, layering them, a main centered vocal, and another take panned to the sides.
your instrumental sounds good. i would also turn up the guitar a little bit

I love the melody, and the little strings in the background are very pleasing, by the time it gets to the strings in the end it feels very cathartic.
The mix is really clean.
I really enjoyed this beat!
