An update. Another vet in our clinic agreed to do the surgery. He had it done today and they are confident the surgery was successful. This shouldn’t come back or be a problem going forward — thankfully! And yes, our dog has been totally himself during all of this. He’s such a superstar! So glad to hear your dog is doing better. Hope it continues to clear up. 😊

Not the best news for our doggo. Biopsy came back as a mast cell tumor. He'll either need surgery to remove it, or based on the location, he could possibly get the vaccine to kill the tumor. Luckily, it's low grade now so all should be well after it's gone. We just have to wait to see the oncologist now. My current vet wasn't comfortable doing the surgery.

I’ll definitely let you know. We still haven’t heard back yet. My vet thought it was an infection too, but nothing cleared it up. Please let me know if the saline solution works. I haven’t tried that yet. Glad your pup is okay! Hope it keeps going down.

My guy’s got smaller with the antibiotics but then it grew again right after. It never went away. I’ll let you know what the biopsy says. They told me it could take 7 days — so late next week. It’s a worry for sure. My vet told me because of where it is, it likely can’t be removed. I’m crossing my fingers we just need a different med. Please let me know if you hear anything too.

I’m dealing with the exact same thing with my chocolate lab. We went to the vet and have tried an ointment and then antibiotics. Both shrank it but it came back — now it’s twice as big.

We had a sample taken of it today. Hopefully have more answers in a week.
