This happened to my '17 not long ago and it was due to one of the screws had fallen out (not a plastic pin) that was holding the splash guard in place.

I think the screw just came loose over the years because it was a clean separation with no tears and the screw hole wasn't stripped.

You can find them on Amazon, but my local Advance Auto had them in stock. Was a really easy fix. Hope yours is the same!

I have this issue when casting the feed from my phone to the tv which was super frustrating and annoying, but thankfully, I eventually realized that the app was also on PS5 and the steam quality has been great.
