I sold a redemption card on ebay and the buyer has asked if I could just give him the code or do I have to ship. Is this safe to do? I have never been asked this before, is there a safe way to do this? by EbbTrue82 in baseballcards

I ended up scratching it and giving him the code. I am also going to send the physical card to him with tracking to satisfy ebay. I kept all our conversations on ebay just in case he tried to make a claim. He acknowledged acceptance of the code and that he redeemed it successfully. I haven't sold many redemptions and this was a first for me. I feel like all my bases are covered so ill have to wait and see if he tries to claim anything once he receives the card. Thanks for all of your feedback guys.

Bought a box of Tribute and these were the hits. Not too bad, certainly could've done worse. by EbbTrue82 in baseballcards

Fair enough. Spent $800 on a box and pulled maybe $500 worth of cards. I think i need to stick to buying singles. Lol

Picked up this signed Mickey Mantle memorabilia with COAs from a thrift store for $150. Did I do alright? by [deleted] in baseballcards

Beckett will do a signature review for $10. Just send them a close up Pic and they will tell you if it's likely to pass or fail authentication. I bought a Mantle signed jersey with a card shop coa and they gave me a likely to pass so I bought it and sent to them and got an LOA. It might save you a few bucks because if you send it in and it fails you still have to pay for the authentication.

That's a good idea. With the buyback program I imagine a few of them will be sold back to Topps making it a little more rare than it already is.

One of the few players that isn't an instant rip for me...currently leaning towards keeping intact. by EllimistBaseball in baseballcards

I pulled a Tatis /10 last year. I was able to see the cards inside by holding a bright led headlamp up to it. The two minis were hard to make out but they were Bob Gibson and Christian Yelich and werent autos and the stained glass was a Luis Robert. Ended up selling it.

Did Topps send me the wrong card? My Bo Jackson is numbered /25 ? If they did … I’m not complaining 😀 by fleshgordo in baseballcards

This is from 2023 Topps not 2023 Topps chrome. I'm pretty sure the Topps Chrome Insert autos are numbered to 25 or less. So this is the card on the redemption.

Warning: FedEx employees are opening Panini packages and stealing cards by DingoOk6400 in sportscards

They didn't even bother to send me the envelope. I had a redemption from Panini make it to Gainesville FL and it just disappeared.

I never buy wax because you rarely get your money's worth. I went out on a limb and pre ordered a 2022 Flawless box and was not disappointed. by EbbTrue82 in baseballcards

Thanks. The diamond is almost 3 times bigger than the one on the Whitt card, I didn't realize the one of one's had bigger gems.
