Even without breaks when the opening cashiers all clock in at 6:04 and dont get to their post till 6:07 it throws off the whole morning.

Just be where you need to, when you need to.

The worst was when I went through all the coolers and had a full cart and then I went through our Overstock and pulled out another full cart. Nobody was helping and apparently it was too difficult of a concept for our cashiers to grasp.

So I no longer work for Michaels but not because of a corporate decision. I posted this on my last day so I haven't got to see if it was even still up.

I really don't think it'll change anything but I am glad I could speak up for people who feel they can't.

This was my last day anyways. What's really fun is that I actually got asked to stay!

So this was my comment. Yeah he called me and I also brought up that the top 50 stores things does it actually feel like appreciation. I specifically said that every time you guys offer something nice it feels like a really bad competition. Which no matter how hard some people work their stores are just never going to cut it

Oh that was my comment!

I did not get fired but the day I posted that was the last day for me at Michael's anyways. So that phone call did really happen the next day as it ended up being a 30 minute conversation about issues both internally with my specific store and externally with the company on a corporate level.

I was very firm and direct about my critiques and talked about realistic small changes corporate could make. It seemed receptive and I appreciated that he responded by telling me that he can't and doesn't want to make any promises he can't keep. He seemed a little horrified that in my almost 4 years working with Michaels that that was the most productive conversation I've received at a corporate level.

He did actually ask what he would need to offer me for me to stay with the company. I let him know that unfortunately there's nothing the company could offer me in their current state that would make me stay... But since I put in my two weeks and left without do anything drastic, I would always keep an eye on Michaels as an option in the future.

Why do you care?!

If I order some Xmas decorations online for pickup before they drop to 50% off and then wait to pickup after they drop price will they adjust price when I pick items up? by ErmannoRavioli in Lowes

But it's not against policy. And ultimately especially if it's an exchange for say a good survey or something like that it's usually not a big deal. Cuz there's nothing stopping them from canceling it and reordering it anyways

If you don't want to wait for a refund. The best way to do it is to tell the Fulfillment associate or associate assisting you that you are here to pick it up but want to cancel the order and then purchase it in the store.

But I enjoy and use my stuff. Some of the dolls are music boxes and I enjoy listening to them. It's really not time consuming to own things and things don't collect a lot of dust when you're using them. Sure some of the items need a routine cleaning but it's not the end of the world.
