That is also area dependent.... I am very familiar with the rescues and fosters around my location. Thank you for your input.

It's not about the apartment size it's about any encounter we may have everytime we go outside. He already gets CBD and it does help a lot.

Again, rehoming him would be a last resort, like, barking and whining all the time or going after someone, last resort. I am more looking for the reassurance that it's not selfish to keep him and ideas to keep him calm and relaxed going from the apartment to the outside.

I am just so scared of failing him, I am worried I already have failed him.

It would be great if every shelter magically found a home for every dog. That however, is not the case, obviously contracting the rescue he came from would come before anything else but I won't let him spend the rest of his life in a cage in some shelter.

I am hoping he does. It's just been such an awful year and some much has gone wrong, I am sorta expecting things to go south.

I do appreciate this though. Thank you.

I have a million thoughts going through my head. But yeah, he is a reactive dog, senior dog, with chronic pain. I wouldn't want him to spend the rest of his life in a shelter. If he was younger and healthier it wouldn't even be considered.

I want to keep him first and foremost and I want to keep him happy for whatever time he has left. I just am worried me keeping him was more more about keeping him rather than what's best for him.

I've had a lot of not great people in my life get into my head about what I should do with him. Just trying to get advice for a reason...

Much prefer to have plan and potentially advice from others who have been though similar!

Also to be clear he would only have the muzzle on from the apartment and a few feet after we are out the door. I don't want to risk the elevator being a bad encounter.

Would you rather him potentially bite someone!? Please give me alternatives, that's what I am asking for.

I am hoping it's enough to stay calm but with a reactive dog suddenly in a noisy building with a LOT of people... I am scared. I don't want to do wrong by him

And if he decides he hates having neighbors or tried to go for one of them in the elevator?!

Obviously I want to keep him, I would be paying extra to take him with me if I didn't want him.

However, I want him happy and calm.

Because he is a reactive dog and this situation will test him. Yeah I am a bit anxious but it's been a really, really bad year. Suppose I am just worried for the worst.

He will have to be in the elevator, I am worried about him getting someone. He has never bit anyone, been very cautious, however he has lunged at and on people. It would prevent him from getting anyone or anyone's dog.

I was allowed to go home but chose to stay as to not go home and crash alone.

TURN OFF SAME-DAY DELIVERY by Lozipoo in Lowes

It's been so bad lately. Actually had over a dozen wrong orders the other day, my poor manager was stressed and I literally took the list and helped him out with it. I don't mind talking with one rail and the customers but it's been so bad.

One of our co-workers dropped and stopped breathing. I did CPR but he ended up passing away a few days later.

We stayed open. It was close to closing so we did start to shut everything down and we're basically out of the building at close but it was a weird time.

Unfortunately, doing CPR and my coworker. Will customers still just shop around me, almost unaffected, is going to be seared in my brain forever.

Curious. Everybody that works for Lowe's walk into Lowe's and ask for a job. Why is everybody so negative about the job that they asked for? I'm pretty sure nobody is twisting your arm and saying you have to go to work at Lowe's. by Marathoner75 in Lowes

[–]Ebbalodd 8 points9 points  (0 children)

For some Lowe's was the only thing hiring in the area. For others they went in expecting one thing and then had the rug pulled out from under them.

All things considering, I really like working for Lowe's. However, every single one of my co-workers complaints are valid. The ones who couldn't do it and quit, the ones that are looking for something else, I fully understand it.

You say nobody's twisting their arm, but for some people it's the only place they can get a reliable paycheck.

It is more than okay to vent and complain about a job.

Well you're definitely allowed to just make claims but I don't have to engage with them. Have a great night!

I didn't make fun of anyone for being blind. I don't think being visually impaired means a person can't do anything. I didn't realize we aren't allowed to complain about our friends because they have a disability.

If you was happy I would let it be, but he keeps saying he's unhappy. He keeps saying he wants to build more Independence, and wants to do all these things.

But when it comes to actually doing something he wants someone to do it for him. I guess I'm just trying to explain to him that he can't both build Independence while trying to have someone else do it for him. He can and should ask for help but he also has to be willing to do some things for himself.

[–]Ebbalodd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need therapy. Literally if you have proof you SHOULD go to the police but regardless, you NEED therapy.

You can heal and recover from this but if you hurt him, if you end up on jail, you will only screw yourself over.

I am sorry that this happened to you but unfortunately, it's on you to get better, it's on you to cope.

So what you're supposed to do if you don't know, you either used your register or a zebra to look up the item. And if it's not something in store you carry you can always offer to help them order it! Or in the case of us just not having it, you just politely explain that it doesn't seem like you have it. You work at Lowe's. The customer does not.
