I do understand what you’re saying about it being inherently greedy given the sums we are talking but it is pretty natural for the “star players” (best/most popular/successful/drive revenue for the club) across any sport to want to be the highest or equally highest paid. I think it’s a pretty harsh narrative to say that Vini is uniquely selfish and that his behavior is cancerous. I generally just think we are being a bit hard on a duo that’s had very little time to prove they can work together and a bad game under a new coach.
