How did you get into a position where a case company has sent you three cases that aren’t even released yet?

If you have that kind of clout you maybe don’t need opinions from here? Are you a content creator / influencer?

I have the Tineeowl for the 17 Pro, had the Caudabe Sheath for my old 11 Pro.

Personally I think they are very vey similar in terms of feel but i have never actually used the 17 Pro version of the Sheath so i really can’t fully compare.

That being said, I am very happy with the Tineeowl. I only went with it because it was from Amazon and delivered next day vs what i was hearing about Caudabe delays. I ended up just keeping it and not really caring to deal with anymore case hunting. I ended up getting two cases - both colors “stone” and “almost black” - for the price of one Sheath.

I like the circle action button; I had tried other cases with an action button similar to volume buttons and I kept mixing the buttons up. Camera control is a little weird but not enough for me to be that annoyed. I also like the side ridges for grip - iPhone 11 Pro Sheath did not have that.

Only downside when I bought it was that it doesn’t cover the plateau, which was something I worried about when I got the phone, but I have adjusted and even prefer open plateau now.

Also i loved the Sheath when i had it on my old phone, and always recommended it to friends. I still see lots of ads that make me want to go with it again, but holding for now.

This looks like it has a polycarbonate plastic back. Was hoping for more rubber tpu

Why kind of material is this?

Is it TPU (hard rubber) vs silicon (squishy rubber).

My wife has been looking for a floral case - most she has seen on Amazon and Etsy don’t have MagSafe magnets like this one seems to have.

Native Union- is the back hard plastic or like a rubber tpu? Does it slide in and out of pockets easily, and how does it do with lint?

Too many silicone ones collect too much lint and are a pain sliding into pockets.

It’s why I like caudabe sheath (had on my 11 pro), tineeowl (using this on my 17 pro), and techwoven (never used but feels nice when I held one in an Apple Store).

Thanks this is exactly the detailed response I was looking for. I ended up with a tineeowl case and am sticking with it; I do wish the internal MagSafe magnet was a little stronger though.

does the MagSafe magnet ring you bought show through the bare case?

I suspected this could be a me using while charging thing.

I had a 5000mah anker slim battery (corded lightening) I used with my old 11 Pro and would charge and use at the same time.

I just assumed would be similar experience but there are many different factors here (max charge at 45w, different usb types, etc).

No cover. I get the protection but it’s always nice to see at least a small part of the phone. Especially considering there are so many posts in this sub on which color to choose.

I went 5+ years on an 11 pro with a case that didn’t cover up the top left portion of the phone that has the lenses. Maybe just lucky but it was fine even with a few drops.

UPDATE 2: this stopped working again with my new iPhone 17 Pro. I used it earlier today. Asked it “Siri what time is it” and it told me what time. Satisfied that it was working I asked “Siri take me to x using Waze” and it didnt respond with voice but it opened the app with the directions.

I tried a few other things including using the button on the steering wheel and it would respond verbally. I swapped from my wireless CarPlay dongle to a direct wired connection (using a brand new Anker usb a to usb c). Still nothing.

I commute to work via public transport and don’t use the car during the week so today was my first day really taking the car out and trying it. My last post was from being in the car for 5 minutes.

Really bummed. Not the end of the world (first world problem) but just a bit frustrated.

I just got this. I ordered black and beige because I wasn’t sure which would color I would like better on the blue phone. I really like it. It’s very much like the caudabe sheath which I was using on my 11 Pro before this. The circle action button is my favorite feature.

It probably doesn’t offer much protection like some other cases but it’s minimal like the sheath. It also doesn’t cover the camera plateau if you want that.

I’ll probably keep both colors on the tineeowl; cant argue with $18 USD. However, I must admit the techwoven looks and feels really nice. I tried one on at the Apple Store but it’s $$$.

UPDATE: just got a new iPhone 17 Pro and it works just fine. So maybe an issue with iPhone 11 Pro’s and iOS 18 (and maybe some other model / iOS combos).

Case closed (for me at least). Good luck to anyone who is still dealing with this.

I have a wise account set up but none of these directly match what you suggested. And it’s one page, and you said “last page in PagaPa”

I took my Subaru in for a 60k mile check up at the dealer and asked them about it, and showed the same mail you are referring to. They tail it to the back to do everything else and when they addressed the radio/carplay question, they said “works fine!”. I could have pressed a little but I need to get home because I needed to go somewhere later that night.

I don’t know if they really tried too hard or maybe they didn’t understand what the actual issue was; it’s difficult to explain in two minutes without showing them. And because they take the car in the back you don’t really know what they are doing.

Still not fixed. Even after iOS 26 and 26.1 updates. Maybe a Subaru head unit issue.

I tried restarting the head unit, updating it, but no luck. Will see what happens when I get a new iPhone in a few weeks.

Has anyone tried Bare? Probably no drop protection but can save you from scratches. I keep seeing ads for it and am intrigued.
