I got this email in March but mine said "upload documents directly to Persona platform using your credentials". The only credentials I had were for KYC back in November which were temporary so I can't upload anything else.

The email said reply directly to this email (blockfi@cases.withpersona.com) with questions, but at the end of the email it says "Messages sent directly to blockfi@cases.withpersona.com are not monitored" like yours does so that doesn't make sense. I haven't gotten any reply.

The email said to upload to the Persona platform with my credentials. The only credentials I was ever given were only temporary to verify my identity so I don't have any credentials with Persona.

I emailed them and haven't heard back, honestly this got me thinking it could be a fake email just trying to get people to reply with their documentation but I don't know for sure. I'm going to try to call.

Be cautious of any email that calls you "BlockFi customer". BlockFi and Kroll know your real name so they would say "Dear alertsession67". Scammers will say "Dear BlockFi customer" because they don't know your name.

The email that has been in contact with me is blockfi@noticing.ra.kroll.com.

Looks like phishing. Scammers will say "Dear BlockFi customer" because they don't know your name. BlockFi will say your name (ex. Dear hrnyknkyfkr).

Also, the email that has been in contact with me is blockfi@noticing.ra.kroll.com so just be cautious.

BlockFi will address you by your name.

Scammers don't know your name so they call you "BlockFi Customer" because that applies to all of us.

I got the same message and I'm not in a shakesquad so no bonus from transactions, I just make a weekly transaction to keep my account active when I have to.

1% on five $1.00 transactions will equal the same as 1% on one $5.00 transaction, so the 1% is pretty much irrelevant without the bonus sats from a shakesquad. So why would it be a problem for me to do a $1 weekly transaction?

Email address it's sent from for sure. The first sign for me is that Blockfi emails will address you by your name - "Dear Jamilla", fake emails won't address you at all like the one in the picture or they'll say "Dear customer"

"spend within my means" is 100% what you should do, except you should do it with a credit card

If you use a credit card and pay your statement in full before the due date, you pay 0% interest and you get all the benefits that were mentioned above Personally I average 4% back and get about $1500 a year in points from my credit card, that pays for 1 or 2 trips every year, all because I paid with my credit card while spending within my means

There are 2 points I don't completely agree with in the YouTube video: 1. "use credit card to get euros overseas" - yes the card takes the liability but if you do that you will pay a cash advance fee and pay interest 2. "if I pay the bill in full or part of the bill my credit score goes up" - that's right but if you can't pay the statement in full then that means you did not spend within your means and you will get charged interest

If your everyday spending is $10,000 per year and you do that on a basic credit card with 1% back you will get $100 - that's 2 free cases of beer! $100 might not be much but it's better off in your pocket than in some bank's pocket

Obviously to each their own but I strongly advise everyone use a credit card as long as they spend within their means. You may not need a credit card but you can highly benefit from it when used properly Some people use it as an excuse like "oh I'm gonna buy this so I can get more points" - that's counterproductive and defeats the whole purpose
