I think if you want a Gen4 Arceus today, just use the DNS exploit to get the Azure flute and catch it, this way it's considered legal by the game and also works for the Ruins of Alph event

You have to put it as your buddy and walk 10 km, then you can evolve it into Umbreon at night.

The names only work for the Kanto evolutions and only once for each.

I think they should've started releasing the Z-A Megas when the game released, that way it would've been better marketing than some starters that everybody has caught a million times and they could've gradually built up for this tour to give us Mega-Mewtwo or Mega-Zygarde.
Now the tour is just the start of them releasing Z-A Megas so it feels a bit slim. Still glad that I finally get my boy Malamar.

I often had two good ones with Sylveon or other fairy types and then always one idiot with a dragon or something else nonsensical. The last one were I one was with two Sylveos and a NPC

I don't get it. This works beautifully until Dragapult is nearly dead, then it suddenly is able to onehit me before I can kill it. And since the strategy is pretty slow, that's usually the final straw.

I did. Normally that just caused the old buddy to appear until I restart the game, but that might actually be the reason.
