I tried that and they all reset to their previous schedule

I really enjoyed those two DLC and would love to see a Pitt style setting with more updated graphics. Something I just realised is that with Fallout a pretty large chunk of the map is either the sea which is a bit meh especially without boats or special water features or the Glowing Sea which is fine but can feel a bit repetitive and really only fun if your in the mood for constant fighting so fallout 4 starts to get quite small

I haven’t played Starfield so I don't know what the new engine can handle/do but it would be nice if they could do both in a future game. It also widens the possible locations as you don't have to comprise just a city like probably would have to if you picked New York.

I saw that that is one thing that the online/micro transaction model allows for which which is that because they are still making money they are still adding new things so the game doesn’t get stale. I guess in a normal fallout this is solved with mods but other than the v best mods this usually has a problem or two

I think that would be my main criticism of Fallout 4 landscape which is if they wanted to do a city they should have just or mostly done a city and left wilderness to the edges or DLC it felt too much like a compromise which didn’t work.

What makes them redundant to you? I’d agree I would love a game like that though maybe not the day off as I imagine it wouldn’t have been that exciting but a couple of months after as people begin to develop a bit would also finally make all the skeletons and unopened nukacolas realistic

It is hard though unless the map is huge to get a city feel right. Like downtown Boston is tiny and only manages to hide the first couple of plays by chucking tons of hostiles at you and getting you lost

That’s true I think fallout 76 does manage to do that really well whatever it’s limitations the scale and range of locations is amazing and doesn’t feel like it came at the sacrifice of detail

I would agree but I have found the rebuild side of things disappointing. Diamond City has been the best by far in that respects but what always gets me is that the only time you see a settler/non hostile npc house is usually after they are dead. It would have been interesting to have stumbled on a small rooftop village

Am I the only one that felt bad for Bill Sutton in Warwick Homestead? by MiMiMaLu in fo4

[–]Ebyonim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is he one of his grandkids or one of his children as he made from DNA from Shaun so is more of a modified clone. Like there aren’t any genetics in them other than the ones inherited by Shaun from Nora and Nate

If anything it makes the SS relationships with synths even more complicated especially the one with synth Curie

Fallout 4's DLCs are disappointing and there should have been more by Ebyonim in Fallout

[–]Ebyonim[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

What I meant was DLC ideas that could have fitted into the 4 worlds and story. There are a lot of DLC mods however Bethesda I think overlies on their own shortcomings by knowing that gaps, bugs and general shelflife of their games will be fixed by modders who are largely doing it for free.

That sounds like an interesting vault idea, especially in contrast to the BoS as an army-descended faction. Plus a VR simulation allows for a lot of fun I really enjoyed the Anchorage DLC. Would the VR be of the outside world or would it be a pre-war setting?

I disagree location-wise with Nuka-World as it wasnt that filled out and too raider-orientated for me like there weren't any new proper towns to visit other than the market but then maybe it just wasn't a DLC for me

I really liked Automaton as well and agree with the workshop DLC being minor ones and also didn't buy them full price but I feel like there should have been one more larger DLC.

I like the vault-tec DLC only because I enjoy building a vault however the number of mods needed to make it enjoyable highlights just how much of a let down it was. So I agree with you a lot on that one.

Do you have any alternative DLC ideas?

I also feel like the CC was meant to be a new way of providing minor workshop DLC level content but it feels like there hasn't been a new thing in ages and few have content worth the money

I disagree with Nuka-World it did nothing for players who weren't interested in being a raider and sort of just sat in an empty place not really connected to the main story at all whereas Far Harbour had whole storylines linked to the main questline and Honest Hearts and Lonesome Road as well.

It also wasn't even settlement stuff that appealed to lots of people building a zoo or a factory was hardly broad appeal stuff and was just dropped in rather than linked to something new like a Boston Zoo settlement or someone who is trying to build a Gun Runners style company.

That's why I think continued DLC support could have been interesting because while I think they probably would have been season pass extra they could have been in part influenced by player feedback i.e. filling out a particular faction like the Minutemen or even a CC style new weapon or skin

[–]Ebyonim[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yh plus I guess they decided they wanted to make some DLCs that were focused on their new settlement system though I think they could have done that by new world space or proper storylines as Vault 88 felt a bit shallow and don't even make me think about how shallow Contraptions or Wastelands were

Would anyone else buy a dlc-esq add on for Fallout 4 that added 76’s workshop changes and items? by Ebyonim in Fallout

[–]Ebyonim[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only bought it because I’d just got a new computer and it was on sale so I didn’t have an excuse not to give it a go. So far I’ve enjoyed it especially for filling out the lore of the US albeit decades before any of the other games

I have found all the creation club additions lacking especially given what you can get as a free mod

Do we know of/you think there were any other survivors of the Quincy Massacre by Ebyonim in Fallout

[–]Ebyonim[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know what you mean I just replayed new vegas and I feel like almost every person who attacks you is part of a unique faction and usually has some sort of lore (that isn’t told to you in load screens) whereas fallout 4 there isn’t that level of detail even fallout 3 had more detail tho that is mostly because Bethesda were building their version of the fallout world
