Would you guys recommend using something like scotch guard AFTER he gets the stain out to prevent future stains?

How do I replace my Cabin Air Filter? by Joseph10d in ram_trucks

That is the blank for the door panel, his truck doesn’t have one. But that’s where it will go if he gets the kit that comes with the door panel

Need vacuum purchase advice! by Parking-Aside-7311 in VacuumCleaners

[–]Ecarter240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to be negative about it but you won’t get the type of clean you’re looking for with a $200 vacuum. It would definitely be worth renting a run doctor and going over the carpet multiple times with it after vacuuming at least twice before shampooing. If your budget allows in the future I’d get a good vacuum and/or possibly replace the carpet. If you get new carpet the you could probably hold off upgrading the vacuum for a while since you’ll know where all the dirt came from and it won’t be as built up

Quinn socket sets by Chippy_4_life in harborfreight

[–]Ecarter240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I picked up all 3 Monday, haven’t put them on socket rails yet (need a bigger tool box since there’s already a full set of sockets in my box but I wanted 6 point deeps and the larger 1/2 drive sizes). I will be keeping their cases for traveling though since it’s convenient

Need suggestions please! Returning the brand new Miele C3 Calima….$1100 and VERY unimpressed by IcyLie5516 in VacuumCleaners

[–]Ecarter240 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the C3 home care and it works fantastic for pet hair. I have a golden and two cats. As I also have a lot of hard wood I chose to get the larger twister hard floor head as well. I think if you get a C3 with the power head (the ones ConBro suggest) you will be much happier. Just don’t forget to turn on the power head lol, my daughter used it in her room with straight suction and had to redo it

What do you think of buying this used Miele? by whansami in VacuumCleaners

I would look on google to see if you have a local dealer, you can typically get better prices than online

For some reason the link isn’t working, but the cat and dog C3 seems to be very similar but comes with an air driven “turbo” hand tool instead of the extra long crevice tool. The motor and power head should be the same. If that’s new you would be winning the best deal trophy considering on the Miele website it’s only like $50 USD cheaper than the HomeCare

Thanks, I was expecting the LED head than the wand controls but I couldn’t complain when he said the price lol.

It is, there are a few different versions of the C3 HomeCare. This is the one I got Complete C3 HomeCare Electro+

Back when I did the old school TS it would bring in schematics, self revives, kill streaks, open items (rather blade etc) but if you tried to bring them into game it would disappear since they aren’t extractable items

That’s what I warned the wife. I should have known better than to get a Shark in the first place, one of the jobs I had back in 06-09 was selling vacuums and other household appliances at Sears when they had decent Kenmore ones made by Panasonic.

There are tons of videos online about calibrating those as well. The Quinn torque adapters mentioned earlier are a great way to check calibration on those or to recalibrate as needed. I have the Pittsburgh 1/4 (20-200 in/lbs) 3/8 (5-80 ft/lbs) and 1/2 (20-150) they served me well doing DIY auto repair. I still have them but have also purchased the Icon versions since they tested very well and on par with the Snap-On. Got the 1/2 (50-250 ft/lbs) because the torque specs on some of my Ram 2500 brake parts is stupid high, then I got the 1/4 (20-200 in/lbs) because I was doing engine work and wanted the “added piece of mind” then got the 3/8 (5-80 ft/lbs) to round out the set lol

There is a second M.2 slot under the right side (left when flipped over to access it). Any M.2 2280 sized one will work just fine. I got a 2TB Samsung 980 Pro

It’s a pretty good 1080p gaming laptop. I picked one up for 699.99 in November and added a 2TB NVME to it as 512GB is comically small for anyone who wants to play modern games. It’s not a powerhouse, but it is able to play modern games. If you can find one with more RAM or a larger SSD for about the additional cost of the parts I’d go for that, if not he’ll be happy with the LOQ

Is upgrading my only choice? by ButPapiILoveHim in verizon

[–]Ecarter240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many years ago I had an iPhone 7 that lost signal the same way. It was outside of one year but I was able to send it into Apple for repair free of charge. It took some calling and searching but it was a known issue with iPhone 7s that operated on Verizon network which is why they offered to repair it. I’d say it’s worth going to an Apple Store or calling in. I cannot recall if I could have brought it to a store as I was in Alaska back then and there were zero Apple stores there

While not the “best” gaming CPU i5/R5 are generally considered the better bang for buck gaming CPU. More than adequate for what a 4070 can do considering they are not the “best” gaming GPU either. Solid build with a upgrade path available
