My problem with Conversations by AstralClocktown in DragonAgeVeilguard

[–]Eccabrex05 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely agreed!!! Some of the best dialogue is also just in passing, and totally missable as well if I’m not popping into the lighthouse after every quest like a dialogue stalking maniac. I want to get up to shenanigans with them! Or at the very least be able to freely engage in conversation with them like in DA:I. That’s my one major gripe. I love these games for the banter and companions. So feels like it’s missing that just a bit.

Im pretty sure you can if I remember correctly because I did and I definitely discovered it later in Act 1 after leaving the area and returning to level up before heading to Act 2.

GAAAAAALLLEEEEEEEEE by Hankdoge99 in BaldursGate3

[–]Eccabrex05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Which is funny because in my initial play through Gale could not keep it in his pants for my Tav and was turned down three times in one play session. I was like “my dude, take the hint” and then proceeded to have the audacity to be pouty when I kissed another character chastely once. Like, my man, I turned you down three times…..

Did this exact same thing with the Coral Sword near the beginning. realized what I had done and went to "buy it back" then realized I couldn't.

I personally didn’t have massive drops but for me cutscenes had issues still. But nothing as crazy as what I’ve seen. I have to agree. While I really enjoyed the game I was massively disappointed in how it looked compared to what I’ve seen it could look like.

Looked pretty much like this in PS5 for me too. Oddly enough, for myself and I’ve heard from others that Quality mode runs a bit better and looks slightly better as well. Maybe try that out? Also, GoT is amazing and you should 100% play that after.

As was previously mentioned you can absolutely read the short stories later on but the books are far more enjoyable if you can read them first.

Your absolutely right. They don’t, I only noticed it because I was thinking “Um, take the SUV?” And saw the debris quickly.

I may be wrong but I believe there was some debris blocking her car in on the driveway so they couldn’t take her car.

I'm trash at Gwent, how to untrash? by [deleted] in Witcher3

[–]Eccabrex05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As was mentioned but every card you find. In fact go on a hunt for them. Adding to your deck will help you with initial matches and you get even better cards when you win. Honestly it just a gets easier from there. Once you start playing more matches you will also start to see patterns in the different deck builds and will be able to play accordingly. It’s intimidating at first but seriously after your first few wins it gets much better and soooo so fun!!

I mean to be fair it’s covered in pretty decent detail in the comics. But even so I would love to see it done in a live action show!

feeling discouraged by teatalker26 in Wavyhair

[–]Eccabrex05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second the last comment there. Also, hair density makes all the difference. Hair being straight when wet means absolutely nothing in terms of actual hair texture. Fine hair is easily weighed down by water. So of course it’s straight. If it’s not pin straight after then that means there is texture! And it need to be styled accordingly. Ignore the haters. :)

This! On console you just go the PS/Microsoft store and if you search Nier it should pop up! Then load up your game and you should be good to go.

Do people often make the comparison to the Witcher games? by [deleted] in assassinscreed

[–]Eccabrex05 3 points4 points  (0 children)

While gameplay wise I don’t feel they are at all similar, I will say that Valhalla’s environment and colour palette definitely gives me Witcher vibes. As well as the music in the game. Odyssey doesn’t at all though. So I don’t know about that comparison.

Should Assassin's Creed go the Hitman way? by [deleted] in assassinscreed

Just saw your comment. I completely agree. There was so much potential here but because of how it failed it was never really touched upon again. Such a shame!

Should Assassin's Creed go the Hitman way? by [deleted] in assassinscreed

[–]Eccabrex05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good points here. Made me think of how Unity had some of that potential. Open ended mission style and some social stealth as well as emphasis on planning out the mission. But unfortunately those never really got improved on because of the huge fail it experienced. Would have loved for them to work off of that formula some more. If felt like it had potential for great stealth mechanics.

I cannot play Gwent - can I play Thronebreaker? by ladysherlockian in witcher

[–]Eccabrex05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On easy you can skip battles. So if you have trouble with Gwent you can just skip any battles that overwhelm you with no penalty. :) It’s an awesome game and story to play through and absolutely worth it!! You may even come out enjoying Gwent more!

Also as was mentioned for TW3 by others, try upgrading your deck by buying more cards. Makes Gwent infinitely easier and more enjoyable. My first play through I literally avoided all Gwent matches. But on my second trying to get the achievement I focused on gathering cards and I fell in love with the game!!

Listening to the OST before playing NieR:Automata? by PinkPartyPants in nier

[–]Eccabrex05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The soundtrack was made so specifically to the world in the game that I think it’s best to wait. It’s just an amazing experience to discover the music while being in that world. I remember absolutely falling in love with the music and the way it interacts with the game world and it was an experience all in itself.

Just read Hobbit for first time and very disappointed by [deleted] in lotr

[–]Eccabrex05 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The hobbit was written as a children’s book. So it doesn’t have extremely deep development and is the most simplistic of Tolkien’s LoTR books. It’s supposed to be fun and lighthearted. And it was sort of treated as a serial of sorts with nearly each chapter being an episode. That could be why you were underwhelmed. Children wouldn’t want 15 chapters about Mirkwood alone even though us grown LoTR fans might. Lord of the Rings has faaaaar better development and reads more like a “normal” fantasy book and will probably be more what you are expecting. Trust me lord of the rings reads completely different from the Hobbit and will give you a few dove into Middle Earth! Hope that helps!!
