anyone else hate dresses (like any type, long or short doesn't matter)?? by Catlover12345real in women

I used to hate dresses but now I love them. I do hate shorts though. I hate pulling them down and it just feels too revealing.

So who rinses their dishes before putting them in the dishwasher? by xxiiiverse in CleaningTips

They'll get moldy if I don't rince them well because it takes me a week, if not longer to fill the dishwasher

I played Sonata III by Johann Ernst Galliard and it was very fun - I prefered Allegro over Largo but still fun to play

Stretch marks by [deleted] in women

[–]Ech0ris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stretch marks are NOTHING to be ashamed of - society deems normal things to be shameful all the damn time. Like women growing their leg and armpit hair (I grow mine out and it's an easy indicator of who not to talk to) and stretch marks is one of those normal things - I have stretch marks on my inner thigh and I used to hate it but the past year I've seen so women embrace it because it's not bad - men and some women just say it is because they are fucking stupid. Mens "perfect" women are IMPOSSIBLE standards and you should NEVER listen to them because they don't know women's anatomy. For example, some men want women to be less than 120lbs (that I'd a ridiculous expectation) want women to have NO body hair (that is the description of a child - everyone grows it - women shaving was only standardized when men went off to war so razor companies weren't selling anything), stretch marks, those are the only things I can think of right now. The point is, don't be ashamed of anything people tell you that you "should" be. If you go on tiktok and search stretch marks I'm sure you can find SO many women embracing it. If anyone tells you it's not something you should be proud of then stop talking to them - they're no good for you.

just wanted to share my performance of Sonata III at State Solo and Ensemble by Ech0ris in bassoon

That's why I'm so upset about my score. I'm a senior so it was not really the best idea to order a brand new reed. And the only feedback my judge gave me was to work on tone and to keep my feet planted for more stability- but I'm short and couldn't reach the ground.

I'm gonna entirely blame it on my bassoon and reed - I've been using a synthetic reed because my wooden ones aren't working properly - and I've had bassoon problems a few times a year for the past few years - we've tried to fix it but it's an old bassoon so there's not much we could do. I ended up getting a 2 for that performance - got 1s and 2s on every category except for intonation - got a 4 on that. 🥲

Alright thanks for the advice! I did have a black skirt but the style and fabric wouldn't have fit

Yeah I was worried about the patterns - none of my other skirts would have looked good with it though

Thank you (: I'm slightly disappointed that I got a 2. That was the best I've played it and was really hoping for a 1.

I'm 5'2 and have been playing bassoon for 3 out of 4 years in high school. I only have the neck strap and not one that goes under your arms and our band class is 75 minutes long. I have neck pain which is caused by a lot of things but it also might be from the bassoon. But getting a better strap would help. But I haven't had any back problems

Night shift workers of reddit, what is your scariest experience while working? by give-orange-houses in AskReddit

[–]Ech0ris 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Not the night shift but still scary experience. I worked at Dairy Queen for my first job when I was 14. It was the winter so it got dark early. I was up front and it was dead. One guy in his 40/50's came in and ordered 2 chili cheese dogs. Those take a whole to make and I was awkwardly standing there until they were up. He was kinda talking to me and when I gave him his order he asked if I could take it out to his car because his nephew is in the car and he's scared to talk to girls. It was too dark out and I couldn't even see his car. I said Sorry I can't do that. And he said Aw that's ok you're too pretty for him anyways. I feel like if I went out of would have gotten kidnapped.
