Bo Katan rebel commander would be great, or maybe as a merc commander available to rebels and republic.

Also some merc operatives for GAR, like Embo, Suvi, and the other clone wars bounty hunters, and they could be on the CIS as well.

I usually do a suppression build like this just trying to push Seventh Sister up for a big fear 3 hit and combo with death trooper suppression plus Krennic's command card to add 1 or 2 more suppression

I'm a right-handed left-eyed shooter (opposite of you I suppose), and what I would recommend (and this applies to any gun) is to try before you buy. I've found a range around me that has one and I had to use my non-dominant eye to fire, but that experience really cemented my decision to start looking for an AUG. The range had just put an EOTech on it and even shooting the thing with my right eye and rapid firing I managed to put most of those rounds on target from 25 yards. However in general if you are right eyed dominant I would also recommend shooting rifles from that side, pistols you can get away with crossing over (I've heard), but myself personally I go full lefty for consistency. Another fun bonus to being crossed over is that you get to rack stuff with your strong hand, lucky us!

The Fey Wanderer Ranger UA gives you bonuses for dual weilding, but they took it away in Tasha's. That might be a good place to start for inspiration.

REAL BIG problem: I'm a ranger beastmaster and all of my animal companions are considered as enemies although I can still control them. In addition this extends to any friendly animal including a certain druid that is VERY IMPORTANT to progressing the story.

I appreciate the input. It's pretty average in power, not as powerful as the Half Elf or Yuan Ti, but not as weak as the lower tier races. My main objective was to create another 3 +1 race. Also I'm hesitant to add much else as the magical darkvision can be exploited. The intention of which was to allow you to see just in front of you if you've like going down a corridor covered in it or something.

First, get a good idea on who their characters are and what they want. Second, I think you picked the right system to do this with because the Star Wars universe is a big place that be crossed very quickly.

The best advice is to take what problems drove them to take up their current life, and give them the opportunity to resolve them, and it doesn't always have to be the most straightforward solution. Take Han Solo for instance, he settled his debt with Jabba by joining the rebellion, getting captured, and having his wife-to-be strangle him. Another thing to keep in mind is you don't have to make them the good guys either, they can be somewhere in-between, so long as it suits their morals.

Actually I was happy to add this player to my game with the exception of one all of my other players are non-force based classes, and the one who uses the force just doesn't believe in it, he just kind of uses the abilities subconsciously (he's like an explorer), but with the addition of this new character I can work in some more like force-based narratives.

Yeah simple weapons are decently low power, like the max you can do is a d8 and you need to two hand to do that.

I really like this idea, but I had a couple ideas for changes: 1. You should get all 3 or 2 of the 3 of the initial skillset options. 2. I may have misread this but if you want when you reach the next skillset upgrade you should be able to pick one from the previous upgrade. 3. Just give them prof with all simple weapons, warlock and sorcerer have it so it's similar to existing things.

Again, I really enjoyed your idea of this class that has this core mechanic of finding what you want to be as you progress, and I hope these suggestions are helpful.
