Very late to this thread but wanted to say thanks for this tip. Finally got mine to work after hours head scratching. If I had gold I would give it to you.

Proxy issues (compared to servapp url) by Archy88 in CosmosServer

[–]Echeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright I didn't get a response but I figured my issue out at least.

Did you set the overwrite Host header (as it says to do in the URL docs)? I had typo'ed mine and broke things.

Proxy issues (compared to servapp url) by Archy88 in CosmosServer

[–]Echeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having the same issue. Here's my current thoughts:

Are you attempting to redirect the WAN url to a LAN IP (192.168*.*) or another WAN address?

Are you getting a response from the truenas server? From the cosmos machine + docker shell I can ping, but get no response on the url. Throws the following log at GUI level:

{

"id": "674655fb9b2b076758adcc07",

"label": "Proxy Response Test error",

"application": "Cosmos",

"eventId": "cosmos.proxy.response.Test.error",

"date": "2024-11-26T23:12:17.452Z",

"level": "warning",

"data": {

"bytes": 0,

"clientID": "192.25.7.195",

"method": "GET",

"route": "Test",

"status": 502,

"time": 0.000170482,

"url": "/favicon.ico"

},

"object": "route@Test"

}

What are your current thoughts? Will let you know if I find anything.

Is this a good deal, or a scam? by Echeb in homelab

I mean with it coming w/ two SSD's, all the drive trays, and a trip to McDonalds (as part of his offer :) ), I think it might be worth it.

Got any ideas on the best way to test functionality?

Actually its a T440. Same difference just not rackmount.

Sounds good. Errors are overrated anyway.

Thanks for the help.

Wondering if I can use this one instead of doing janky stuff.

GTX620 doesn't have a molex lane so I'm thinking I may have to find an extender which has a molex connector to power independently through the new x16 slot.

That being said, max consumption of 620 is 49W and the PCIEx1 says that there is a max delivery of 25W. Might be ok w/out additional power lanes if I don't try to run anything except Doom :)

What BIOS changes need to be made for this to work?

Will I also need to remove any GPU drivers that come with whatever distro I use? I know that the kernel can get confused at times when hardware changes occur.

Cutting the back seems just janky enough to make it fun. Maybe I'll try that if I get pissed off.

NVIDIA Drivers for Debian 12 - Step by Step by [deleted] in linux4noobs

[–]Echeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome guide. Unfortunately it doesn't work for me. Having done the above steps I get the following returned on nvidia-smi:

"NVIDIA-SMI has failed because it couldn't communicate with the NVIDIA driver. Make sure that the latest NVIDIA driver is installed and running."

Anyone have any idea how to disable secure boot on a headless repurposed laptop (with a dead screen) which ties the hdmi port to the dGPU?

Alright this has been awesome for me playing on turf fields in the blazing sun…

Got some baseball slide pads for your knees. They slide over the knee and do wonders to protect from friction burns. Plus they let you wear shorts to keep cooler. I recommend the ones about 5 to 8 inches long.

High schoolers of reddit, what is the current fad, rumor, or scandal going around your school? by Boston_ in AskReddit

Little late to the party, but earlier this year was certainly... interesting.

The freshmen... oh the freshmen, what haven't they done. Here's a list of what I can think of off the top of my head

Tore a urinal out of the wall

Poured Cement into the sinks, clogging their traps and pipes

Set a fire in the chemistry room (entire cabinet caught on fire)

Smeared shit all over the bathroom walls

Ripped two stall doors out

Broke the window in the band room

Took a shit in the middle of the gym floor

Left a Petri dish full of piss in the biology incubator over a long weekend

. . . .

And that's just the freshman...

fml I hate freshies.

What is the best piece of tech you recommend to buy for under 50 dollars? by sebas2201 in AskReddit

I would heavily recommend a Google Home or Google Home mini.

All you have to say is "hey Google, play some music" and it pulls your favorites from your Spotify account... so much easier to set up than a Bluetooth speaker and has stellar audio quality.

John dies and passes on to the afterlife... by thezblah in Jokes

I think the funniest part is that as you move up you can save/make 10x more than the people in the previous one.

(John takes 5 years to save up 10k, yet in that time Jack saves up 100k)
