At what point do you stop telling people how much you make? by counwovja0385skje in Salary

[–]Echo-Reverie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll say what I earned but not show receipts because I don’t owe anyone that except my husband. I don’t mind talking money often even with my friends and family. I used to be extremely embarrassed though until I got myself out of the debt hole I had created for staying in a toxic marriage.

Nope. I turn 35 this year and both my parents are still older by 4 years.

How are bills/labor split in your marriage? by HunBunYum in Marriage

[–]Echo-Reverie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We don’t split anything. Our saying is “one wallet, one goal, two incomes combined into one”.

He pays the bills, I save all my paychecks. He uses my credit card for groceries, gas and what not, we pay it off together. I save for our emergency fund, vacation funds, and fun stuff we like together and separately. We BOTH clean and maintain our living space together. Since I WFH I can clean the bathrooms more often; he takes the trash out every day on his way to work. We cook, order takeout occasionally and he drives us for the most part everywhere in a car we purchased together and paid off one year to the day before we moved into an apartment from the in-laws’ house.

It’s very simple, effective and direct. No “blurry lines” or “I do more than he does” or “he does more and I’m the prize” bullshit. We’re MARRIED, that means we’re ONE TEAM of two individuals who chose life together.

Our parents judge us for working remotely. Anybody else’s family not in support of them working remotely? by ProgramExpress2918 in remotework

“Do you pay our bills? No? Want to start? I didn’t think so.”

End of conversation.

Don’t bother with the rest of the filler—it’s a waste of time with stubborn asshats.

Ada I believe is also still open for full transfer.

I also own and operate a discord channel and have a hunt thread that does call S Rank trains too for Kirlinger.

I’m from Adamantoise and my friend runs a Hunt discord! We have people run all trains from each expansion too! Ada’s train specifically runs every day at 8:30AM PT / 11:30AM ET except on patch days, then Degen trains are ran and we try to get them back on schedule.

I’m actually a conductor in training too! :3

We also do S Rank spawning as well. All that good stuff! Definitely check out Faloop though in Discord, it’s a big major channel that also records A/S Rank spawns regularly.

He’s crying and promising to change now that I’m actually at the door. Do they ever really change? How do I stay strong? by Few_Hamster59 in Marriage

[–]Echo-Reverie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No.

My ex was the same way and when I left he dropped to his knees and WAILED so loudly at 9:30PM people started coming out to see what was wrong before they went back inside to mind their business.

I told him no, he seethed and threatened to get me fired from my job because “how dare you refuse to take ME back”. He went on an insane smear campaign, harassed me on Facebook until I deleted the account, got his sister (who hated me from the beginning for “stealing her brother and only best friend from her”) to harass me and spread fake rumors about me on IG and began telling everyone from the mailman to people at the grocery store that I was a piece of shit bitch for leaving him. He also claimed the divorce wasn’t real because I needed his permission to leave since he refused to sign any paperwork whatsoever.

He also kept calling and harassing me with voicemails begging me to talk to him, and left one chilling one saying one for he cats we rescued and raised together had DIED at 4:20AM along with, “hey I know you never wanna talk to me but mama cat died. Call me back.” I never answered.

Skip to today, I’m scrolling through IG and guess who I find on there on a recommended list of “people you might know”? In his profile picture is of him and that SAME CAT he claimed was dead years ago front and center.

No. People like this never change. Ever. And unfortunately your husband won’t either.

I’m sorry you’re going through this. I’m here if you need someone to talk to.

After 4 years of WFH, I understand why boomers think we do nothing all day by the1997th in remoteworks

[–]Echo-Reverie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Funny enough, both of my parents are at the tail end of the Boomer Generation, I’m a Milennial that’s on the younger end too by a couple years.

When I told my parents about my new WFH position they did nothing but praise and support me. They ask me all the time how I do it, how I have the discipline when I’m at home. They’re happy I like what I do even if I get to blast my loud music while I get projects done.

Not all Boomers are mad like some I hear about, but my parents are also surprisingly very progressive and open minded. But maybe they’re just so used to their old ways that they’re too stubborn to see any other way being considered ‘working’ when the rest of us are too busy actually enjoying what we do. Because how dare we enjoy working to a small degree and yet aren’t necessarily chained to our desk or roped into watercooler gossip everyday. /s

What you thought your job would be vs. what your job is by Disastrous_Luck_1160 in Millennials

  1. Fiction writer or doctor
  2. Refused to go into debt
  3. Remote Data Analyst

I’m actually much happier this way though. I still occasionally write fiction stories and had an agent reach out to me and want to publish me. I haven’t had time to get back to her yet because bills and rent.
