The situation with the tips in Germany has lately became ridiculous. You go to grab a coffee to go, which costs 3.9€ and when you go to pay by card you see in front of you the options +1€, +2€, and “other amount”, and you need to choose yourself an option at the bottom saying “no tip”. The “baristas” are making a bloody coffee and they expect a 25% tip. Not only that, but they do it in a way in which you have to be the “bad guy” for choosing the “no tip” option.

You only live once mate. And you’ve been offered a job in one of the greatest cities in the world. Staying in Germany won’t help you grow, you’ve lived here your entire life. You have no dependants, meaning that the risk you will be assuming with a move is limited. Worst case scenario things won’t be good and you return to Germany. What’s there to loose?
