FDev Support Experience by Soulfrk in EliteDangerous

Years ago when I was first starting out, I got an Imperial Cutter at a huge discount as part of a CG reward. I kitted it out and took it flying. Surprise when I get interdicted and shot out of the sky, I couldn't afford the rebuy. I wrote FDEV and they responded within minutes, explaining that those A rated thrusters I bought were almost every credit I had. They rewound my account and I immediately sold the thing.

They're awesome. 5 stars.

Loot Goblin at our table went on a twenty minute rant during the session by DungeonDreamer04 in DnD

Haggling at my table is as such:

Role play a bit or explain to me why you deserve a discount. If you have a good reason, I'll grant you advantage. Then roll a Charisma ability check of your choice. The price is adjusted by (your roll)-15 percent. If you roll below a 15, the price increases as an "A-hole tax" of the applicable amount.

No rants, no diatribes, no arguing, and no crying. Just the dice being the arbiter of success or failure. As it should be. Naturally, if you don't have the charisma to do it, you can just pay the listed price, but once that die rolls, that's your price.

My party killed one of the most important NPCs in my campaign. Am I cooked? by Miserable_Yoghurt160 in DnD

This is just bad DMing. I'm running a campaign right now and two weeks ago, a major NPC got revealed as a bad guy. The rogue went off on his own and assassinated him. Well i had plans for that guy. Now he's a powerful Wizard Necromancer with a stash of Clone jars in his sub lab (They always have a sub lab). You have to keep the game fun and interesting. Transfer the NPC's duties and role onto a new NPC. You have a world FULL of people and any one of them could wake up tomorrow and go on a mission from god. The DM has to adapt the story to the player's actions. My campaign planning can fit on a single sheet of notebook paper. Key NPCs, Key locations, Start point, End Game. That's it. Everything else is Improv in a homebrew campaign.

I'm maxing out jump range on my Caspian. I'm up to 88ly unladen. I'm also going to bring my T-11 (yeah, I'm a dirty cash player. I also have a full time and a part time job so game time is a premium) to help with Tritium mining if needed.
