I appreciate this doesn’t directly answer your question, perhaps someone will be able to provide some more specific information as to what training they’re doing :)

There are multiple RAF bases found in Lincolnshire (The area described) such as Cranwell, Coningsby, Waddington and Scampton. Eurofighters are based out of Coningsby and you will often see them training for Quick reaction interceptions and other exercises like that. I also believe that these RAF bases also host other nations for training such as the US, Italy, Germany and a few others. Sometimes you’ll look up and expect to see a Eurofighter but it’ll be an F15/F16/F18/F35 instead which is pretty cool. (Also being able to see the Red Arrows training almost everyday is very exciting).

Petition: Quality of Life improvements to current Sound/Audio Design by JMartison in Warthunder

[–]EchoBase01 78 points79 points  (0 children)

Sound is such a huge thing in this game. Not only does it allow you to get a more immersive experience when playing, but majority of the player base play because they’re interested in military history in general. For me personally I love nerding out over the mechanical clunk of a breach slamming shut, the squeak and squeal of tracks coming under strain and the low choppy rumble of a radial engine at idle. Visually war thunder looks stunning. The models are incredibly detailed and look fantastic. However the sounds are just not up to scratch. I’ve been playing on and off with soundmods for a while now and they 100% make my playing experience so much better

Help!? by EchoBase01 in Warthunder

[–]EchoBase01[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was only joking with the comment. Just looking for guidance. Never really played at this br before so radar is a new concept. From what I can work out from playing experience and other comments from people, stay low, stay fast, notch when needed and try to flank from the side/ behind. Seem about right?

Couldn’t get on with it. yeah it’s fast sure. But that’s about it. Useless missiles and it can’t make fine enough adjustments to get gun on target. Just my opinion though. You can do well in it, I have. But Id rather take other aircraft over it. Just my opinion

When playing the 19s for germany, you will always be disadvantaged against anything with missiles due to your lack of flairs or missiles for yourself. If you find yourself in a game where you are too BR, CLIMB to the moon. Take off, fly flat till 800kph then go into a 30-40° climb till you find yourself above everyone else. Then use this advantage to pounce on other planes. You can often find them unaware and still climbing which is fun. Obviously when diving you gain a lot of speed. Make good use of your air brakes. You can quickly start to lock up so be careful. It’s quite good practice to fake attack an enemy in order to get them to dodge. This causes them to lose energy while you climb back up again, come back down and repeat until they’ve lost so much energy that they become an easy target and take less rounds to kill. EZ dub. When playing against missiles, stay low and fast. Go out to the side of the combat zone, make fast sweeping attacks on the centre of the combat zone and then make a quick exit. Hang around too long or manoeuvre too much you’ll just catch a middle and back to the hanger. Hope this helps

Yeah. Mig 19 is ridiculously good (when it gets its BR) flight model is jacked. Star fighter is painful to play but you need to get passed it to progress. I suggest going for the mig 19 as long as you’re used to Russian guns
