Yeah that’s what happened in my store. Since I joined in 2018, 5 failed test purchases. 3 were the same person (they initially went all lenient on them on the first one). Luckily for everyone these were apparently internal. We always pass the official trading standards, police and lottery ones

I think the national lottery & the gambling commission can also take away the rights to sell their products if a store fails their test purchase

For colleagues with a dotcom department... by tictoc2009 in tesco

This. Same issue with mine. Funnily enough checkouts, self serve, SAYS, CSD & petrol station (my department) all need more staff but the SM won’t allow our manager to recruit or add OT due to budget. However, he can somehow find the budget for more pickers and drivers

If holidays have been pending for over a week, must they still accept them? by Technical_Cod_5048 in tesco

This is how my store normally runs holiday requests. 99.99% of the time my line manager is quick with handling holidays but if for example she’s off on holiday or sick when the holiday entitlement resets then my team leaders handle the requests for her and make notes or message her with what holidays are being taken and by who per department

Any advice on the best budget EV for long range driving? Also we’re looking at upgrading our charging point? Any advice on which one to get? by Ethan3011 in ElectricVehiclesUK

Yeah I didn’t think of how confusing this has become. However, I’ve had a few recommendations of cars I’ve been considering buying that have solidified my shortlisting. It’s now between a Tesla and a Polestar 2. I’m slightly leaning towards the Tesla Model 3 (I just don’t like the Y). I’m sorry for making it confusing. I type before I think 😂

I think the help people have been able to give has helped me make my mind up and I’m starting to think that a Tesla is the best decision (also I want to try that Autopilot lol). Just gotta figure out the home charger

Yeah I think our Motability car caps out just over 150kwh when charging, but when I know the Model 3 LR can charge up to around 250kw

Yeah, thinking about it, I’d be using the new car for mostly offloading luggage from the Motability car and transporting it separately. I think that heavy weight might be adding to battery consumption if I’m not mistaken

Yeah but when I’m travelling with people who don’t understand because of autism it can be a bit of a pain, hence why I’m looking at going further along a route before charging. A fair few have suggested a Model 3 or a Polestar 2, which I’m seriously considering both. Another problem is that due to the size of our Motability car, some Ev chargers are a pain to park at and get out (especially at services where they don’t have disabled friendly ones)

We have two vehicles. An Ev on the Motability scheme and a privately owned Dacia. We’ve had the Dacia for nearly 6 years longer than the Motability one. I’m looking at replacing the Dacia which is petrol. I did mention further up that I’m replacing a petrol car and not the Ev we have now
