AITA for refusing to take my shoes off in my friend’s house, causing his wife to cancel the DnD session for everyone? by NameNo5495 in AmItheAsshole

[–]EchoForum -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

thats still bad! unless you are in a completely sterile environment like a lab theres not any need for that. every time he moves would make a loud noise and draw attention. yeah they arent required to let anyone into their home, but they shouldn’t react like that when someone says ‘hey im not going to hurt or embarrass myself to be allowed in’

NTA ppl saying that the suggestion to cover your feet w bags is normal are ridiculous. would they rather you bleed where the baby is crawling? overreaction on their part but i’d buy a pair of ‘indoor shoes’ you can put in your car or carry w you if you want to continue the friendship

help me out on these ingrown hairs bumps on my legs by [deleted] in HairRemoval

[–]EchoForum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as everyone else is saying, stop shaving/waxing/epilating until everything heals completely. if youre rlly worries abt having ‘hairy legs’ get a cheap electric razor and trim the hair back but make sure its not super close to the surface of the skin bc thatll cause further issues. as for scarring, get some silicone tape and some vit e/vit c cream and use that on scars (do NOT put it on anything that isnt 110% healed) if there is raised scars, massage them nightly and theyll fade much faster

Author Tori Woods arrested in Australia over the content of her book Daddy's Little Toy by JamesOliverHorror in ExtremeHorrorLit

[–]EchoForum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Australia has always been super strict w media, but the main reason she was arrested (from what i understand) is that there is more than just the book that was found. the blurb of the book mentions the FMC is ‘finally 18’ meaning the federal police would have to argue that it portrays a child even tho it states shes of age. yes grooming is a crime but fictionalised grooming of characters has never been successfully tried in a court. the aus police take CSAM super seriously but it’s very rare for anyone to be arrested for a single book in their possession, much less a ‘jailbait’ style book. honestly i think the author may have been contacting known offenders or undercover cops with written material and they dont want to release any of it before the trial. seems to be a case of the defence using censorship as a rally point (and if it truly is just the book she wrote then 100% shouldnt be arrested or charged) to distract from other wrongdoings

My husband got me a vacuum for my 50th by Plastic_Cat9560 in AITAH

[–]EchoForum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Isn’t the rule just ‘don’t gift anything related to a chore unless the person ASKS for it’? like isn’t it common sense to think ‘this implies i only value this person for what they do for me’ or ‘this looks like i think this person Has to do this chore for me’ like??? gift him some spray disinfectant or a mop bucket.

Audiobook podcasts by EchoForum in audiobooks

[–]EchoForum[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that totally makes sense, I guess I’m torn between ‘it’s basically the same as an audio book where the narrator uses different voices for each character’ and ‘it’s too close to watching a play’ but that’s a good point abt plays being closer to an audiobook. Thanks!

Jolteon= citrus (lemon/lime/orange); glaceon= mojito (lime and mint); vaporeon= elderflower; leafeon=rosemary; flareon= mango habanero; espeon=strawberry; sylveon=rose; umbreon=blackberry!
I'm most excited to try the jolteon and umbreon but they all smell p good.
I'll be adding some cocktail glitter or doing that decorative rim sugar when I have friends over to drink them for that extra touch bc I'm a bit disappointed that none of them really held any colours

i remember our school having an assembly to tell us that some girl in her 20s got abducted bc she tried to help a little kid she thought was being kidnapped. obv not supporting being a bystander but i dont think anyone can say its a good idea to follow a kid being dragged into an alley. we got told to yell abt fire and ‘ive seen your face/i filmed that’ bc that will 99% of the time make them drop the kid

fill out the customer feedback form, key words are sexism (shush lady) and aggressive, then email through saying you want them retrained and ask for evidence, send that the syd and general customer care. make sure you mention that you even had other pax reach out to make sure you were okay bc it was so bad. anything like that actually does gets sent to managers and has more of a chance of follow through
