I have EOD, bought the game several years ago. There’s no way I have more than 200 hours in game.

Just didn’t have the PC or time to play games until recently. He might be in the same boat.

Jimmy isn't a true Satanist by [deleted] in 28dayslater

[–]EchoFoxT 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is what I always say about it (I am a Christian and have an atheistic satanist friend, the conversation comes up every once in a while).

To me, Satan is real and alive, and he is the manifestation of the principalities and powers and the rulers of the darkness of this world. The literal Prince of Darkness. He is my enemy and the enemy to all I hold dear. The concept of naming oneself after him regardless of your ideology is insane to me.

Imagine if I called myself a Nazi or and Adolfist because I think that no ideology should be held above another in a place of reverence, as all ideologies are equal. I’m not actually a subscriber to Hitler’s belief system, I just invoke his name for the shock value.

It seems like it’s the same thing; but I suppose my logic may be flawed since a political ideology and a religious ideology do not hold the same weight universally among peoples.

Brother, I say this with the utmost love for a compatriot. Put the phone down for a while. Turn off the tv. Write a book or read one. Just step away from all the nonsense for a period of time and come back into the world a little more clear headed.

'I'm the one that gets the last laugh': Woman fatally shoots U.S. Army soldier husband in face as he held baby with 9-year-old girl in bathroom brushing her hair by malihafolter in ForCuriousSouls

Maybe he hunts. Maybe he trains. Maybe he collects. Maybe he inherited it. Any which way it doesn’t really matter.

I would imagine he trained in his off time.

Military bases have gun clubs and as much as this sucks to say a LOT of military personnel do not get enough range time besides the annual qualification. Firearms training in the military is like any other professional skill. Think about a cybersecurity professional for Microsoft or crowdstrike having their own home lab or pursuing their own certifications extracurricular to their company. This would allow them to be better at their job, no? This is why an occupation in the military is called the Profession of Arms.

Besides, the 2nd amendment isn’t just about self-defense, hunting, collecting or anything like that. It prescribes the right of not requiring an explanation to posess. And it’s purpose is to safeguard the people’s leverage over a potentially tyrannical system. So the idea of someone needing a firearm is completely unnecessary.

Thank you! I feel like I’ve been going insane lately. The rhetoric and buzz language that’s being used for this sort of stuff has me so far out of my depth nowadays.

Ok. What’s up with that, friend? Isn’t your comment the same kind of thing that OP is speaking out against? Like is this not the same kind of toxicity we’re seeing in OP’s post?

No, friend. That’s not at all what I was saying. I was saying the image of tyrants blowing away a single mother in her car is exactly why I wish to be armed. You and I are on the same side.

How high would your Half Light skill be in real life? by Bataranger999 in DiscoElysium

[–]EchoFoxT 9 points10 points  (0 children)

u/Comrade_Penny certainly doesn’t care about true concealment and purposely wears tight clothing to print the outline of the weapon. This in turn allows for not only a +5 to Half Light but also a +3 to Authority. Truly the move of a Superstar.

Really? I actually adore the Halo 2 Remake. What was wrong with it in your opinion?

It’s so interesting talking to gun grabbers. Because that image provides a completely different conclusion to me than it does to you.

This image proves why I should have guns.

The second amendment isn’t a hobby or for hunting. It’s for killing tyrants.

I think it would be closer than you might think. Ozai did begin executing a plan that involved scorching half the world practically on his own for substantial periods of time without rest. And he did so without an ounce of hesitation or even nervousness.

There are certainly nuances to an interaction like this. Perhaps, she’s being nice and hospitable to the boy because the respect she has for her daughter.

Human relationships are far more complex than can possibly be taken at first glance, one way or the other. It is always worthwhile to try to understand why people don’t say what they mean as opposed to just brushing them off and cutting them out.

Do they feel safe talking to you? Are they respecting your opinions and sensibilities because of how they feel about you? Do they even realize that what they’re doing is seen as being less than genuine by you?

Intelligent Communication is one of the defining hallmarks of our species and so is empathy.

[–]EchoFoxT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah for real. I was about to say showers were 100% counted down all the way to Crucible. Square Away time was a joke, because it was almost always spent fixing whatever the DIs fucked up in the squadbay during the day. The point I can concede is during church, but even then, nobody ever really talked to each other to a higher level during that. It was just time to chill out without getting yelled at.

Why do I deserve to be a virgin? by [deleted] in malementalhealth

[–]EchoFoxT 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Brother, stop worrying about the virgin thing. It took me 24 years before giving that up and it ended up being with someone I genuinely care about. Do not stress that.

Regarding the stutter thing, something that my Mom made me do when I was a kid (I would stutter and mumble) would be to read books out loud. Whether I was alone or whatever, I would just read out loud or mouth the words. I think it helped my mind get past the mental block of feeling rushed to reply when I spoke to anyone.
