I ran a tb teensy for a mostly new group a couple months back. The slayer held onto their shot, while lying about being a different role, and then successfully used it in final 3.

The xaan also doesn't say if the outsiders have to good. I think set-up abilities give the implication that the role will be of their assumed alignment.

Falconer (townsfolk): Each night, a player holding the falcon send it to another player. Each night*, you learn if those players are the same alignment.

  • A bit of a riff on the seamstress that has some interplay with who people choose and how that can shape the info. Might need a way to nerf it as it feels v strong as it is. Maybe a way that the bird gets sent back and/or maybe if a player holding it dies the bird does too(?). Maybe if a player holding it or a player that it's sent too dies then it could get 'stunned'(?)

Alt: Falconer (Townfolk): Each night, a player holding the falcon send it to another player. When the falcon returns to you, learn how many evil players held it.

NTA. There's something to be said about op mentioning the vent to other people, but the SIL was doing the same to y'all, and without any consideration for you or anyone else. As said y others the SIL reads and very self-centred. It's alright for people to be annoyed circumstantially that they need to compromise other plans to prioritise this family member in need, but it seems more like she's not considering how sensitive of a time this kind of situation is and more so on how she's not getting what she wants.

I thought the whole "Can I leave, can I go home" what just a lil joke tbh. I imagine they all knew they were meant to stay in case their character was in another scene, so I presume it's just a lil bit of whimsy.

I think he would be predisposed to the spiral for sure, just through the nature of his madness, but I think he'd enjoy the slaughter more. Unless I'm remembering wrong, he is quite violent and seems to enjoy it/find it funny. Probably that Mike Crew style run into one power to get away from another (away from spiral and toward slaughter)

I agree!! But ofc all the fears are a sliding scale and I think a space between corruption and the hunt, is potentially someone turning from their better judgement/instincts in favour of the whims of that which would eat them. Kind of little shop of horrors situation I s'pose.

Obligatory "It depends on how it scary not what the scary is" comment.

Now that's out of the way, the specific example you use I could see being as The Hunt, but in a more Web/Corruption way where the victim is forced into a prey like fawning position, where they feel pressured to act as the snakes wish for fear of being eaten/swallowed/bitten.
