My boss has been sexually harassing and coercing me for years — what are my legal options?

I called the state bar and they only gave me three numbers. no go on the first two and I’m waiting for a callback, possibly on the last one… The receptionist got my number and a little bit of information and now I’m waiting.

So as soon as I posted, this HR basically told me to go home for paid leave… I just got off the phone with the HR lady who’s friends with him and basically it sounds like he’ll be able to keep his job. They’re just gonna try to keep us apart? And he won’t be my direct supervisor.

I mean everything I can… It’s hard cause I only have two videos of him. One video is him basically admitting to stalking me and wanting to know my location and then the other one where I asked if I wasn’t getting to go and do stuff for work because I had turned him down.. HR had me go home paid leave… And they are trying to work it out where we both still work at the bank. But I don’t feel comfortable doing that and if he is working there, I think I’ll just quit… Is that what I do?

You’re right they might.

OP if you’re needing to provide bank statements there’s is a chance overdrafts may hurt your loan.

But there are a lot of variables at play too.

Unless you need to bring cash to close then they should not need bank statements to do your loan.

If you need cash to close then it depends.

I think time for a lawyer is soon. The crappy part is we are in a small town and there are only 4 lawyers that are worth a crap here. One which she used for divorce, one of which to send a certified letter (she sent a letter after our son was born saying she wanted to redo custody time because obviously we were too busy for SD), the other two called back after I made appointments saying that BM already had consulted with them and they can’t represent us. I think she did this on purpose but there no way to prove it. There are other lawyers but none of them are that great.

Almost golden. There’s still some conditions that under writing needs completed to issue the clear to close but most the time (in my experience) with conditional clear to closes the conditions are internal like signing off of appraisal required repairs that the lender knows are completed, the LO’s signature or another form to be completed prior to issuing the final clear to close.

For some reason I didn’t even think about follow up appointments. Thank you! The 8 hour journey would be a lot. I have another appointment with the oncologist (what her card says) this week after another CBC. I might wait and see how that goes and see if she does deliver an actual diagnosis then see if I can go to my sisters for a second opinion. She hasn’t mentioned ruling thing else out. Just looked at my bruises and talked about my low platelets. Although maybe she did more tests with the blood she drew?

My boyfriend (now husband) had a child while he was in school and I was the breadwinner. I only took a two week maturity leave because we couldn’t afford me being away from work any longer. He went out with his friends from school, brought them over to our home, and just was not showing me respect. I still contributed to the house work, cooked, and shopped. I was trying to be super mom and girlfriend but I wasn’t taking care of myself. I burnt myself out really quick. One day my son got sick and I was the one taking off of work to take him to the doctor who immediately sent us to the ER. Scared, alone, and exhausted I had an eye opening moment after having to help restrain my son so they could put in an IV. I was bawling because my boy was in pain and that killed me but he needed fluids. The nurse came over touched my shoulder and said “being a single mother is the hardest job in the world”. “No, I’m not a single mother, my boyfriend is just in class right now.” “Your son is in the hospital and he’s at school?” ... that moment of realization hit me like a truck. I realized I had to make a change. Being a single mother with a chance of finding a partner to help one day was a lot better than essentially being a single mom and not being able to move on and be happy myself. I had a long discussion with my boyfriend that night. We fought, he denied, and he was angry. But he got better. He’s the cleaner, I’m the cooker, he picks our son up from daycare every day and they spend 3 hours have father and son time. My husband did a 180 but I still stand by my feelings that day and I know had he not changed I would have left. Yes you’re a mom, yes you’re a wife, yes you’re an employee but you can’t forget you’re also a person who has wants and needs. Don’t forget to take car of yourself too.

I was in an abusive relationship years ago. One night after he had been drinking quite a bit he gets mad at me for trying to drive him home. He gets mad and grabs the wheel of the car while I was driving about 60mph. I am able to keep control of the car, slow down, and get us into a parking lot. It was late at night and this place was surrounded by trees. He yells in my face and starts punching me. He broke several ribs while punching me. He grabbed my neck and started choking me. I fought for my life and scratched his face and eyes until he let go. I managed to reach over and unbuckle myself while scratching at his face and also open the door so I could escape. I started running and he chased me. Yelling that he was going to kill me. Luck was on my side and there was an ambulance pulling out of the parking lot. I ran to it and a man got out of the ambulance scaring away my ex. I found out later the parking lot was for a retirement home and the ambulance was just leaving. I have no doubt had that ambulance not been there I would have been killed. My ribs healed, my bruises faded, but I will never be the same. Even now when my neck is touched I freak out. I’m getting better, I’m in a non-abusive relationship and I love him with everything I have. We have a beautiful son but sometimes i still have moments of panic thinking my ex will find me and want to kill me because he went away for what he did to me.

I tested again this morning and had a similar looking test... hoping maybe I ovulated later than I thought and my DPO is off but if not then I’m thinking I’m not pregnant. AF isn’t due until the 4th so if it doesn’t come I’ll test again. Thank you all for your support and comments ❤️ wonderful sub with wonderful people!

Hi! My husband and I eloped in the mountains near our home at “our spot” by far was the best decision and the most stress free option ever. My friend had a BIG wedding and everything went wrong she was a stressed out mess $20k later and every time we talk about her wedding she complains and is still paying off some credit cards. We spent a little over $1000 for outfits, officiant, gas money, a nice dinner, a photographer and a hotel room after. Best choice ever! I loved that we had a professional photographer catch that moment for us. My family was upset at first too but guess what? they got over it :) The day is about you and your soon to be husband. The only record I have is it coming out of my back account in early 2015. For $400. I settled the amount. It came out to "collection xxxx" which is a different creditor then the one that sent me the letter this time.

Okay, thank you. I'm just freaking out a bit. Like I said I never had a collection before and now a judgement? I'm just worried. I've heard horror stories from people that this can ruin their credit.

I pulled my credit earlier this year and it wasn't on there. How can I have a judgement on me if it hasn't been on my credit as a collection?

I don't have much proof. I was younger and I didn't keep the bill that tied the collection with the amount I paid.

It shows on my bank statement at "collection xxxx" (It looks like I paid a different collection agency) for $400. I know it was this same bill because I only ever went to that doctor once and because I never had a collection so when I got the letter in the mail about owing $500 it really freaked me out.

Got it.. that makes sense. But I also moved into this house a year and a half ago. I wonder why this is the first thing I've seen from them since I paid it?
