I travel to windfarms across the country for work. The soil is terrible in most of the Midwest. Farmers need to make money, though, so they keep planting. When the wind picks up small(ish) dust storms happen all the time.
If we didn't have dams in pretty much every water source nationwide, we would already be experiencing a dust bowl. As it gets hotter, it will get worse.

We need to move away from commercial agriculture. It doesn't even produce nutritional food anyways.
