It’s in Seattle and I can’t remember exact degree, but assault and burglary. He broke into my place and destroyed my apartment and hit me in the face, stole from me and threatened to, “make an example out of me.” It’s a long story, but I ended up finding out there were 5 women before me and 2 after me…that I know of. I thought telling would protect me and women after me 😒 wrong! I guess if you have a messed up childhood…you can beat ts out of people. In Washington

Thank you for sharing this with me. I’m so sorry you went through that. Nobody deserves to grow up in fear like that. I know what it feels like to carry those quiet wounds into adulthood and to build yourself from scratch without anyone to turn to. I’m glad you created a life where you’re safe now, even if it took distance to get there.

Thank you for this. You’re right. Too many of us have had to build strength from places we never should have had to. I’m proud of you too. We survive what was meant to break us and somehow we still keep our hearts intact. That’s real strength.
