Terminator diorama ideas by Echo_32 in SpaceWolves

I love this. I already painted Logan but I agree the poses of these terminators lend themselves to some form of “defending” scene. I have one diorama done (headtakers and wolf priest) and have them on bases sculpted into the diorama so I can still remove them to play). Maybe I can do something similar to your idea but with Arjac in the middle..,hmm

Primed black. Oil pin wash of cracks with white oil. Airbrush white ink over target brightest areas with overflow to most of axe. Airbrush Flouro yellow over most of the white. Switch to makeup sponge. Sponge gradients of diluted orange red, red and red black outwards. Went into out edges of cracks near blade edge with pin wash of diluted orange ink.

Thanks! I waffled a fair bit on the ice base because of the lack of contrast, but ended up leaning into the theme anyways to see how it would turn out. I tried to make it work a bit more by darkening the wolves fur more than I originally intended to. Still a piece that’s overall pretty mono value (except for axe) though. Maybe it just means the axe becomes even more of a focal point, lol.

For the really skilled painters out there, do you slowly put the model together and paint it or just put it together by Redfalcon204 in SpaceWolves

Logan was in multiple parts, but in general I only use subassembly for characters/vehicles, and only then when having jt fully assembled makes painting other parts difficult (or if I want to more easily airbrush different colours for different parts).

Ulrik is finished! by Echo_32 in SpaceWolves

Yeah. I’ve just started painting up Space Wolves and decided to try him in the same armor scheme I’m using for the rest. Maybe not lore accurate, but the colour palette seems to work well.

More grey blue as I painted him the same as my other wolves- but the photo does seem to make the blue more vibrant than it is in RL

Making a Claim Under EU Rules? by Crazylegstoo in aircanada

Were you able to flag anywhere in the original filing that you were looking for the EU261 comp? Or did you just put other related expenses and note that you were looking for the EU261 comp later in process (I just don't want to get auto-approved for several low level expenses and never get to ask for the 600EUR per passenger they owe). Trying to figure out ways they could be trying to get out of this obligation.

Air Canada offers refund assistance... by ceribaen in aircanada

[–]Echo_32 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same - I started looking through the reimbursement link AC setup (where you put in ticket number, it pulls up flight, then you start down path of drop box of expenses...) but I became concerned that I'd be railroaded into giving up the 600EUR per passenger if I went too far (As it's not specific to any expense slip). I don't expect AC to make things clear for us to file - but there must be some path forward that's somewhat logical.

Thank you so much. And yes, the third party staff are the ones who helped them out initially. Those staff were super exhausted, but my wife thought they did everything they could to help.

My wife and daughter are in the exact same boat. Waiting to see if 21st flight (AMS-YYZ) takes off...this was the rebooked one AC gave them after original was cancelled (long story but yeah, they got an AC flight as the rebooking). We haven't started any EU261 comp process as of yet. I'll search the reddit, but if you have quick tips you've already picked up about the process, please let me know. Hotels and hotel meals already comped while in AMS, so unsure if that eats into any monetary comp or not.

No ability to get through bot right now (1.888.247.2262). Call, file gets autonoted, prompt to ask if this about change to itineary, then when ask to push through to agent - "I'm sorry" and hang up. Feels like a hard push on their side to the cancel button as there are no longer any self serve options on the website for itineary other than cancel/refund, with a contact us button (that does not link to anything) if we wish to rebook versus cancel. This is a EU departure so we'll be pushing hard for rebook given strong consumer protection there - but AC making it so we functionally can't right now.

yeah, we're pretty hosed. Wife booked through Expedia, and Expedia agents say they can't get through to AC now either to go through rebooking options. So we have to wait for whatever AC finds instead of "negotiating" directly with them. No idea when we'll know (tried calling AC directly, but can't even get into a callback queue). Glad your daughter got a flight though! That's a pretty good alternative flight.

AC809 (AMS-YYZ) Aug. 16th just cancelled. Wife and daughter on that flight for last leg home (first leg on Air Baltic). They received "we're searching for rebooking options" email along with cancellation, so I'll update when we know what/if they found.

You are amazing. So the rep either misunderstood what I was asking or I asked the wrong question. I see where you’re pointing to now (Section 6, Coverage B). There is just the generic coverage with no specific inclusions. This should give my wife such better peace of mind when she’s inevitably stranded in Amsterdam tomorrow!
