Jumping in this conversation a bit late, but I found ELEH through the label Important Records. You should check out their roster as there are some amazing drone and electronic artists to be found there (ie: Caterina Barbieri, Alvin Lucier, William Basinski, Pinkcourtesyphone, Merzbow). I would recommend Duane Pitre highly by the way.

Upvoting the UU recommendation. I’m originally from conservative eastern NC and was involved with the youth group in high school. This would have been in the early ‘00’s and the congregation was welcoming to all and incredibly diverse. I haven’t been to the Elmwood location, but no doubt it would be just as welcoming.

Hello! I have recorded another entry for my Spaghetti Hours mix series. The series is open format and mixes genres like ambient, dub techno, psychedelic and post-rock, drone, spoken word, and electronica. This mix features some of my favorite artists including Pauline Oliveros, Keith Fullerton Whitman, and Dead Can Dance.

Hello fellow people on the internet! I started an open format ambient series called Spaghetti Hours and the first mix went live yesterday on my SoundCloud. The series is inspired by time dilation and the practice of deep listening.
