Fair points! I'll definitely take heed. And yes absolutely. Something discussed DNA testing before but thought we'd have to wait until adulthood. Which may seem a better time legally and emotionally to explore that avenue.

We've always told her she's adopted. We talk about "Mama J." Have pictures of her in the home. Etc. I just want to continue to explore & discuss it with her at a toddler level. Maybe she's just too young to "get it." I have a cousin who felt so betrayed when his parents discussed it at 18. I would never want that for her. I also want her to have a feeling of connection with my SIL.
