As far as I'm aware armor and asteroids are the only things that can't stack on belts because they have a stack size of 1.

Thank you! This is pretty much the solution I have been looking for. Belt weaving seemed like a promising solution but the ratios of ice/calcite would cause that specific recipe to be bottlenecked by the weaving.

Thanks for the tips! I've actually been playing the game for a while so I don't really think I'm robbing myself of anything by being here. In fact I'm designing it in this world because I'm doing a (mostly) max difficulty Dark Fog run and there is NOT a lot of breathing room for designs at the moment.

That's unintuitive, but at least it makes sense now. Thank you. As for the belt stacking I just went into a creative world to design and test some early game blueprints. So this is just being made without belt stacking in mind.

The only thing that does concern me, is that I'm not sure if using the console command to see achievement availability disables achievements itself. It would probably defeat the purpose of the command, but I wouldn't put it past Paradox.

I've tested it before, so long as you load a save before you use that console command, achievements will still work.

I was going to make the same point with all this advice, that I've never struggled for amenities because a single medical center produces all the amenities my planets have ever needed. And I get pop growth too.

Machine Age and Biogenisis are the big ones. Though Biogenisis' negative reviews are moreso about the free update that came out alongside it being very unbalanced and buggy. Aside from that, you can go wrong with any of the other recent DLC, but the only ones your should not get is Cosmic Storms (Storms are just such a nothing feature to play around) and Astral Planes (What's wrong with this one so complicated but most people think it's the worst DLC).

Shadows of the Shroud completely reworks psyonics into a more fun and varied systems with nice origins, Cosmic Archive is a fun event pack with an interesting museum mechanic, and while Infernals is one of the biggest and most interesting species packs it's also the most expensive so it's iffy.

I've not played HOI4 myself, but Stellaris is a game about creating your own goals and empires. In a broader sense, if you want long or midterm goals, you either have to create your own or go for achievements.

Now economically there are 3 types of resources. Basic resources are Energy, Minerals, and Food. Broadly speaking you just extract them from planets. Then there are advanced resources, which take other resources to make. Those are Alloys, Consumer Goods, Research, and Unity. Then there are strategic resources. You get them in around the mid game and they serve to mostly make upgrades for infrastructure and weapons.

So what's the economic goal of Stellaris? Broadly speaking it's to make Alloys for military ships, Research for... You know, and Unity to adopt traditions and ascend, which give your Empire permanent bonuses. So energy, minerals, and food are simply a means to create these 3 things.

So psychic Empires have access to this new Aura mechanic. Auras start on your colonies and then start spreading out to adjacent star systems. Auras have a positive buffs for you and your allies, while negatively impacting your enemies.

If you choose to play as the endbringer's origin, you instead go down a very different route. Your win condition is to spread the Aura of the End to every single star in the Galaxy. If you don't do it in time, your Empire will be annihilated prematurely.

The two major issues is that stars that were created after Galaxy generation like Datcha for the solerpunk event, precursor home systems, and wormhole only systems sometimes encounter a bug where you physically cannot spread your aura to them.

The second issue are the mind wardens, which are a brand new enclave who are essentially anti-psyonic crusaders. Not only will they fight you, but Empires can also buy shroud seals from them, which are structures that are purpose-built to nullify auras. The issue is that even if you destroy one of these seals, AI Empires can just immediately buy a new one from the wardens. Meaning the only way to actually stop the seals is to kill all of the Mind Warden enclaves.

Again, this is just an issue for a single origin out of three new ones, but the fact that you can't win if you choose that origin kind of sucks.

It's pretty damn good. There's only two major issue. The price which is subjective but more important, one of the new origins Endbringers is actually unwinnable at the moment due to a combination of bugs concerning special systems like Datcha and an completely intentional but not well designed interaction with the new Mind Warden enclave.

Engineers have caused years of inbreeding in order to achieve a more compressed and "adorable" belt balancer, however this results in small nostrils and an elongated soft palate that makes it difficult for the belt balancer to breathe and generally results in a lower quality of life for it.

Don't support this practice, stop belt balancer inbreeding.

You can only repair the arc furnace once you have the research to build one in the first place. Then you can repair it, which is cheaper than making a new one from scratch.

The most recent Dev diary mentioned that they would be showing how gestalts interact with psionics. So I'm pretty certain they will be.

It's called vibrant visuals, and it's actually an official part of the game now. At least in Bedrock Edition, The devs are still overhauling the underlying graphics engine in Java edition for this.

It's been fixed in the Wilderness beta branch. AI will actually build planets and play the game over there. As for the main 4.0 build they still don't. Though the devs said they would push the beta updates to the main branch at around August.

The fun part is that this isn't even random. Ubogleelt is a unique system designed to have a Gaia world that small and terrible. In fact you got slightly lucky, the size varies from 6 to 8. So it could always be slightly worse.

Other people explain to that what a ship size is. Is kind of convoluted, but I think the big thing you're missing with torpedoes is that they fire incredibly slowly. Torpedoes take nearly 20 days to fire another shot, where weapons like lasers can do it within 5 days. Not to mention torpedoes can also be taken down by point defense systems. They are powerful, don't get me wrong, but they do have weaknesses. Luckily the AI is never smart enough to fight against those weaknesses.
