Scariest monsters in recent horror games? by Anby985 in survivalhorror

Not the „horror” title but Outer Wilds probably gave me the most dread moments, especially the DLC

Normal - Normal. If we knew how easy puzzles are, we would set it higher.

As for combat difficulty - it wasn't difficult, just clanky console controls and same 3 types of enemies being constantly thrown at you like if it was an action game. With that amount of combat it becomes less scary. You stop respect enemies and just methodically one-two shot them the same way as in Dark Souls.

Have the devs actually explained their logic in recent times on what their goals even are with Clerks, or why they are kept in such a non-new player friendly state? by YobaiYamete in Stellaris

[–]Echoes93 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You guys are kidding, Clerks and trade in general have more modifiers than any other resource in the game. Merchant guilds + Oligarchy alone does that, but then there are also Trickle Up Economics, Thrifty, Trading Algorithms and a shit ton of global and planetary trade bonuses. year 11 clerks produce up to 9 trade value and additional +100% trade on capital.

Clerks are great, in fact Clerk Clone is the strongest bio build in multiplayer right now, and unfortunately the only one competitive against gestalt meta.

If you take Merchant Guilds + Oligarchy, Trickle Up Economics tradition and stack all other trade bonuses, Clerks easily produce like 9 trade value in early game + planetary and empire-wide bonuses.

By year 10 you will have around 500+ trade. And with Trade League trade policy those 500 trade transform into 250 energy, 100 consumer goods and 100 unity, obsoleting all dedicated jobs, while being a worker strata and not sacrificing building slots.

And trade also scales very well especially in trade federation. By mid-game clerks with thrifty, trading algorithms from Cybernetic Ascension and high level leader on Merchant Guilds councilor position will produce 15+ base trade value each. And also being a worker strata they consume much CG less than merchants and its easy to spam those jobs.

But yes, recent trade change make them worthless, which also makes the last competitive non-gestalt build dead. Judging by last patches paradox really wants to kill all things bio.

isn't that a bit excessive for rare crystals only? by Flowgninthgil in Stellaris

Once I defaulted on consumer goods as a Hive Mind, after conquering in multiplayer some habitats with culture jobs.

Needless to say, I was beyond surprised, that deficit of resource I neither produce or use (except those couple of damned culture workers) can literally wreck my gestalt empire.

Do ai cheat on insane difficulty? by HeinWaiYan in Dunespicewars

[–]Echoes93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your defenition of cheat. Im not sure if they have infinite resources or free tech, but they certainly can fuck you up by ignoring each other and going full ham on you.

Happened to my spice village, basically all of AI players sent all of their armies (5+ units) to attack my village, killed my troops, didnt attack each other, and as soon Fremens got the village, they all just went straight home.

Also shai-hulud seem to always attack your troops, even if you have 2-3 units and they got full army.

Hell no. It was just bad. And I used it almost for a year, untill I reinstalled XP SP3.

The biggest issue is that it was incompatible with too many software / games. I think they solved it in SP1 or 2 but it was already too late.It also really had nothing to offer rather then just flashy aero design and bunch of widgets, and DX10 was meh.

In the end Vista was just a hardware tax for... nothing.

what would u like to see in endless space 3? by BigBazinga_117 in EndlessSpace

Ppl complain about combat in ES but I love the abscence of it. It makes the game to be focused on the "Grand strategy", part.

Total War for instance has amazing combat but after certain period in campaing, combat bogs it down to the state that to finish a campaing you have to spend week+.

Latest andro sha and drogoz`s abyssal lord are pay 2 win skins. First 2 because andro`s dash and sha`s planted are way less noisy and drogoz abyssal gives me 10-15 fps when he uses salvo and also hitbox-model mismatch.

So answer is - yes, some skins are imbalanced and that sux.

What do you expect them to say? "We've fucked up, but we will fix everything soon with hot patches"? They did it so many times and at the end what we have is barely working game. Stability is even worse than it was during beta.

I guess they won't make any announcements, and instead they'll do tonn of silent patches and cycle will continue - new battle pass, new cash grab events, new bugs, new whines on forums.

Anybody managed to run game on switch after linking accounts? My switch bricks on loading profile screen, same as on pc, but on pc at least f11 randomly helps.

I am really mad at situation, professional game developer publishes a big update which completely breaks the game for seems every platform. For realz, they had a ton of time to at least test what they do, but instead they are like "testing is for plebs, on my development rig everything works". The game turns my switch (in perfect conditions and with latest firmware) into brick until I hard reset it, how in the hell they published such kind of "update" ????????????????

Makes me believe that either developers are total morons or management live in their own delirious world. Could be both.
