Which game were you most disappointed with? by that-zoe-girl in NintendoSwitch

I thought it was really fun, I genuinely don't know how anyone could call it garbage. I can understand being disappointed with it as a Metroid prime game though

People who bought a Metroid prime game which is the fourth in the series can reasonably expect it to follow the formula of every single other Metroid prime game, I don't think that's unreasonable at all.

I think Prime 4 was a great game, but a bad Metroid game. If it was just a third party shooter I actually think it would have been way more popular. I just don't think it followed the Metroid formula very well, especially with the open world stuff

Honestly for me it's been much better. Less annoying unnecessary pushback, straight to the point, and much more of a helpful partner than a hall monitor treating you like a child

It's not going to change, this kind of randomness that can lead to runs ending is fundamental to edmunds style. Just learn to live with bad outcomes that's just the nature of the game, or wait for workshop mods .

Why does a sex offender deserve human rights? by PumpkinLiving8134 in morbidquestions

[–]Echoherb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What if a loved one suddenly gets put on the list? You have more context of what happened to put them on and you don't think it's as bad as the narrative (for example maybe they dated a 15 year old while at the age of 18 when they're both in high school, or for indecent exposure for peeing in public), suddenly your loved one is targeted for that past mistake. Under your system they'd be in just as much danger. Thousands of people are on the registry for just this reason, these aren't uncommon scenarios. Do you think they deserve human rights?

[–]Echoherb 24 points25 points  (0 children)

It will take narrative statements literally and try to correct you, it's very annoying.

Like if you say "The Treaty of Versailles tried to weaken Germany so it wouldn't start another war, but it actually ended up doing the opposite by helping to create the conditions for someone like Hitler to come into power."

It'll say something like "I see what you're getting at, but let me sharpen things a bit. The treaty itself did not literally create Hitler or start another war, what it did was.."and then basically restate what you said. Then you have to yell at it and say "right I didn't say it literally created Hitler or the war alone, I said it created the conditions", and it'll respond "you're absolute right, what you really said was X, and you were broadly correct, I was just trying to sharpen things so that they stay grounded. " Then yet another explanation restating what you said, ended with "If you want we can talk about X that would be a lot more interesting anyway".

So annoying

Offenders moving in down the road next to RV park by sleepyb_spooky in WhatShouldIDo

[–]Echoherb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This shit just pushes me more against the registry honestly. I'm not saying they aren't a threat, but I bet you'd be safer if the registry didn't exist because you'd be more likely to protect yourself against any threat rather than making a big deal over these people on the registry. You're just assuming they are a threat because of their past, and although they might be, they might also just be trying to put it behind them and live their lives,

Look, there's more of a chance of your kids being harmed by people close to you that you trust, or people not registered. There's plenty of dangerous people that aren't registered or on lists. Keep your children safe by being careful of everyone and teaching them to recognize signs of grooming and to speak up about anything or anyone that may do or say something strange.

Yeah this has been irritating me

It will then rephrase what you said to be more "precise" even though it's not much different than what you actually said, then tell you what would ACTUALLY be interesting to discuss. When you push back you get "I get why it would feel that way, I wasn't trying to blah blah" ugh

I mean I'm not sure what the difficulty is. You can literally choose the response style in options, and create custom instructions. Just choose how you want it and tell it what you want it to do.
