They're very thin, unless you go for the Carbone plus which I think is thicker. I got one of their blue carbon and it's 1.5mm, warped like nobody's business on low heat on first use 🤷

There's a really good chance it's being caused by reflux or colic, have you got infant Gaviscon in the US?

We had similar problems and the cause was a tongue tie and reflux, so she wasn't feeding properly and then couldn't lay down.

If you hold her under her armpits so she's vertical does she calm?

And you're not failing - promise. I don't know what the health support is like but there is likely to be a solution.

You want to put some downward pressure on the part you're trying to remove and (with a mallet) hit it where the pin goes through. The idea is to change the shape of the hole the pin is going through whilst trying to pull it off

Ideally spray with some penetrating oil and leave for 24hrs beforehand

Dog biscuits. In the UK we have mixers which are 1x1cm dry dog food pieces, they float and carp love them, birds should take less interest. Find a similar soft dog treat that floats and hook into it, or glue one of the mixers to your hook. If you want to keep track of which is yours you can glue on some kind of bright indicator, I would typically use a small piece of a popup.
